It's 8:22 when the dancing ends, and Jackson sets up the movie. We teens grab popcorn and candy before heading inside to the movie room. We spend nearly ten minutes trying to cram ourselves onto the couches and chairs, but finally, everyone is seated, and "Knives Out" starts playing.

Knives Out is one of the greatest movies on the planet (at least, I think so). Kennedy thinks so, too, which is why we picked it. Even though we've seen it a dozen times, I still get chills watching it. Every plot twist pulls a gasp from my mouth, and I roar with laughter at the funny parts. I wouldn't call it a scary film, but I find myself clutching Christian's hand for the entirety of it.

He rubs his thumb over the back of my hand as we watch, and I curl up next to him. Jackson's watching us, frowning, but I don't care. It's not like he's going to stop the movie so he can lecture us on the rules of dating. They better not, anyway, I think, glancing nervously in their direction.

Jackson gives me the you're-too-young-for-that look, and I roll my eyes in return.

"I don't think your brothers like me anymore," Christian whispers. His breath tickles my skin, and I let out a small laugh. This only draws darker looks from the boys, of course.

"They haven't liked you since we started dating," I whisper back. "Don't worry, they'll get used to it."

"I hope so," Christian murmurs, kissing my hair. I smile as his arm snakes around my waist. "I just hope Jackson doesn't kill me before I get to college."

I stifle another giggle and consequently earn another dark look, this one from Dylan. Naturally. Out of all my brothers, Dylan is one of the worst when it comes to dating. He's one of the worst all the time, actually, but especially in the world of romance. He's not nearly as bad as Jackson, though, thank God. I don't know if I could handle having someone else who lectures me on dating safety.

We're in the car chase scene when someone taps my arm. I turn and see Kennedy, with Ellie leaning over her shoulder. "Want to go get more snacks?" Kennedy whispers.

"Definitely." I slip out of Christian's grasp, and the three of us girls creep out of the room, ducking down so we don't block the screen. In the kitchen, we find Cole and Shawn leaning over the counter.

"Snacks?" Cole asks, grinning when we come in.

"You didn't eat them all, did you?" I ask, only partly kidding.

"Of course not," he says, pretending to be offended. "That's something Dylan would do."

"Well, you are his brother," I say, shrugging.

"And you're his sister," Shawn jumps in, laughing. "Doesn't make a difference. And no, there's plenty of snacks left." He nods toward the end of the counter, where the food is laid out.

After snagging some Goldfish and Twizzlers, we sneak back into the movie room. Christian chuckles when he sees the food stash we brought, and he reaches over to steal one of my Twizzlers.

"Get your own snacks," I say, holding the rest of my food out of reach.

Christian rolls his eyes, and Dylan whisper-yells, "Savannah, shut up will you?" sending a flutter of laughs around the room.

I glare at him. That idiot. If I didn't love him I swear—

The rest of the movie passes glare-free, and soon, the closing credits are rolling. I let out a contented sigh as Luke snaps on the lights and the other kids start getting up. Next to me, Kennedy yawns.
