Levi stood up and walked over to the window. His back facing me as he watched the setting sun.
"I think you're ready to join us on an official mission outside the walls."
"But I thought my fighting skills needed much improvement, captain?"
"Tch, well yes but they're still way better than of many soldiers on our team-"
I walked over to his desk. "So, you're actually praising me for something, captain."
"No. I'm just stating the facts." His voice was way more softer than before.
I put my hands on his desk leaning forward. "Twist the words all you want, but you just admitted that I have indeed excellent fighting kills."
"Tch, in your dreams! Now you may leave, cadet (l/n)." He sat down behind his overloaded table and started reading some documents. He didn't mention anything concerning my 'punishment'.
Well, good for me. I should get out of here as quickly as possible before...
"I didn't forget about your punishment." Shit. "You have stable duty for a whole week, but after we return from our mission."
After muttering a quick goodbye I left Levi's office. Walking down the hallways I bumped into someone.
"Sorry, I didn't-" I was cut short by Petra grabbing me by the collar.
"Stay away from him! He's mine!" She slammed me against the wall and I hit my injured elbow.
"What the hell? Are you crazy?" Her face was red like her hair. Petra shoved me against the wall once again and wrapped her hands around my throat.
"I'm not crazy. But I may just get a little crazy when it comes to Levi. So take my advice and stay. away. from. him."
I grabbed her hands and twisted her arm. "I won't. What will you do?"
She started laughing. Was she really going insane?
"Oh honey, I'm sorry.I forgot you're new here-you probably don't know about this but-" She tugged at her arm I loosened my grip. Raising her arm she showed me her hand. No. Not her hand. Her ring.
"Hope you get the picture." She patted me on the shoulder and left me there in utter shock.
My eyes widened, it felt like- like betrayal. "He...He is engaged." My body felt numb and slowly walked to my room, bumping into some people. But I didn't care.
I shut the door behind me. My breath hitched. He really had moved on. And so had I...right? Something broke, and I didn't know if it was my already broken heart or my damaged soul.
