The chilly breeze blew right into my face, and I shivered. Hugging the big coat more tightly around my body, I closed the door behind me. Guilty feelings overtook my consciousness.

I should've at least left a note, but I knew my stubborn little lover-boy. He would never, ever agree to this. And I'm not doing something wrong. I just want to help them. Help him. I knew he was doubtful concerning Erwin's plan. I just knew it in my bones.

I hope that he's there and ready to see me. He wouldn't hurt me, would he? Suddenly I wasn't that sure about my plan anymore. Maybe I should go back. Bullshit. Since when are you scared of him?

I silently sneaked into the stable and untied the lead rope. Trying to leave the stable as quietly as possible, I rode off. I hope I didn't wake anyone up. Please, god.

The streets were dead and dark as only the mood was the source of light for me. Everyone was in dreamland. Here and there I heard whispers and voices coming from the dark alleys. This wasn't something new to me. Nothing intimidating, but what I was about to do was scaring me a little. Just a little.

Reaching the forest I tied my horse onto the nearest tree. I patted him to calm him down. Again the chilling breeze made me shiver to my bones. Holy fuck, why is it so fucking cold today! I looked up and saw millions and millions of stars, shining bright, like a ray of hope. Suck it up, (Y/N)! I nodded at myself and took the first steps into the forest. Darkness and only Darkness. The trees didn't let the moonlight in and I had to orientate myself through feeling the trees.

There it was. The secret base. Hidden well under a pile of leaves. I silently rushed over and started to get rid of the leaves. Suddenly my hand felt something cold and I immediately pulled on it. Opening the door I saw light. A torch. He's here.

Biting nervously on my lips I stepped down. One. Two. Three. Four.

And there it was. The gun pointed straight to my head. I gulped and raised my hands surrendering myself.

"Name?", the cold and grumpy voice asked.

I knew exactly who it was. Never in a million years would I not recognize this voice.

"Cut the crap, Kenny.", I said trying to sound as serious as possible.

The person didn't lower their gun but started to walk towards me as I was still standing on the stairs. My heart was pounding against my chest as I gulped.

Why are you all of a sudden scared? Maybe because I am a traitor in his eyes! He left you on your own! To die, (Y/n)!

"I knew you would come back. After all, you are my favorite and most precious soldier." Kenny finally stepped out of the shadows with a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Let's talk, shall we? And tell your minion to lower the gun or else I will shove it up her ass." The girl holding the gun was getting on my nerves.

"Leila, you heard her. Two cups of tea. Pronto!" Leila furrowed and lowered the gun saying curses under her breath.

"Come on, (Y/n). Let's have a talk."

I followed him into the darkroom. My room. Everything was just the way it was when I left for the mission. The bed. The curtains. The picture frame. All the memories came flooding back. Focus, (Y/n)! We sat down at the table next to the wall. He kept staring at me as if he was trying to read my face. Trying to figure me out as I put on my best poker face. Suddenly there was a knock on the door breaking our awkward and neverending silence.
