I swore I could hear his heartbeat. In sync with mine. We stood there frozen not wanting to let go. A sudden voice startled me and I quickly freed my hand from his fingers. Levi also turned around facing me, as I looked in the direction from where the voice was coming from. I heard him clear his throat. I didn't dare to turn and take a quick glance at his face.

The voices were getting closer and I soon figured out who it was. Jack and Petra. What a coincidence! I don't know exactly why but I felt a lump again in my throat and swallowed hard.

"That's so cool. I think this one will be perfect for the reception.", I heard Petra squeak. She was walking down the hallway with a strange guy on one side and Jack on the other. The stranger was holding a huge folder in his hands, while Petra scrolled through the pages. Wedding preparations. Isn't she going to join us on the mission? She was showing Jack the design and various color themes, who was just nodding after every sentence she said.

Then she finally looked up and spotted me and Levi. "Hey, beautiful." Jack put his arm around my shoulder pinching my upper arm. I swore I heard Levi tching, but I didn't look at him, as he was already busy with Petra and that stranger.

"Hey, Jack. Please don't call me that." I tilted my head a little and bit the inner side of my cheeks. His expression suddenly changed and he furrowed his brows. He turned me towards him and put his hands on my shoulders. Again I was not comfortable, even if he wasn't doing anything weird actually.

"Why?" I swallowed again and felt how dry my throat was. Giving him a faint smile I wanted to give him an answer but was cut off. "I-"

"Because it makes her uncomfortable." Levi's voice was as usual low and I could hear a pinch of anger. Jack's brows furrowed again and his jaw was clenched. He was clearly annoyed and he looked past me to meet Levi's gaze, while still having his hands on my shoulders. I finally turned around and saw how angry Levi was. His voice was calm though? He was clenching onto the folder in his hands and I could see how hard his grip was.

"Do I make you uncomfortable, (Y/n)?" Sometimes. I kept staring at the man in front of me and he only stared back. His grey eyes were once again luring me in.

"(Y/n)?" Jack shook me out of my thoughts. I just shook my head, making Levi more furious. He should concentrate on his wedding preparations!

"Babe, be safe out there! I feel bad for staying back, but only because you insisted." Aha. I am so not interested in that Petra. She isn't talking to you, (Y/n)! She clearly is!

Me, Levi, and Jack walked out of the HQ. Jack luckily had freed me from his arms and I was walking in front of the two men. Many soldiers were standing in front of the entrance. That's when I spotted Hanje. Moblit was standing in front of her with one hand on her cheek and the other on her shoulder. How cute! I could see how Hanje was blushing, she gave him a quick peek on his cheek which made him chuckle. Right after that she turned around and caught me staring at them. Rude, (Y/n)! Sorry. She started to blush more and slowly walked over to us. Soon Erwin and the others joined us, as we waited to put our plan into action.
