Jealous?

Third Person POV

Mateo is in his office room checking on some of the paperwork, Tessa was typing away at her desk. She printed out some papers and walked into Mateo's room. She is wearing a short yellow dress with a low V neck, which can cause others attention to her cleavage. She usually don't wear something like this to work, but she did today.

From the moment Tessa stepped foot into his office, she couldn't deny the attraction she felt towards Mateo. But he didn't spare a glance at her once before. It was all only a professional relationship between them. She tried to act calm about the situation because she knows that Mateo is single and is not seeing anyone right now.

And she tried to keep her feelings to herself, but she couldn't anymore, she couldn't help herself. She thought maybe she should give a try and ask him out on a date, she has a little hope that Mateo also is interested in her.

Mateo was unlike any man she had ever met or seen and he always encourage and compliments her for her good work in the office. She wants to win the attention of those green eyes whenever she could.

So, she tried to make the first move. She walked towards Mateo and arranged the printed papers on his desk.

"This would be the rest of the schedules and meetings arranged for you for this month, sir" she spoke softly.

Mateo looked up at her and from his paper work and his gaze fell on her cleavage.

"You look different Tessa" he furrowed his eyebrows.

He has never seen Tessa in such clothes before in office. He doesn't bother what she wears or anything, but it just surprise him to see Tessa in such inappropriate dress, in office.

Tessa took it as a compliment. "Thank you sir. I would like to ask you something" she flashes a smile at him.

"Yes, what is it?" he asks her.

"Well, you know there is the party hosted by Mr. Kendell is tomorrow evening. Can I join you at the party with you, I mean as date?" she asks him hesitantly, hoping he would say yes.

"A date?" Mateo furrowed his brows, "I'm sorry Tessa, I already have a date for tomorrow evening. I'll introduce her to you at the party" he replied politely but confused that Tessa asks him out.

He just don't want to have any relationship with his employees because it would damage his and the other party's reputation. It would also create chaos in the office, how they will start gossip behind his back. Dating an employee is a big NO for Mateo.

"Oh, I'm sorry sir. I don't know that you already have a date. I just thought... no, just forget it" she fake a smile at him, turn her heels to walk back to her desk.

"It's okay Tessa, see you tomorrow evening" Mateo said, she smiled and exited his office room.

She felt embarrassed. 'I didn't know he started to date someone. How could he? He didn't even spare a glance at other girls. I thought he was single, I am sure he is. Maybe he hired some escort to be his date tomorrow. I'll see who is it, and find it out' she thought to herself. She just couldn't give up Mateo to anyone.

It is Friday evening 5.00 pm now and I am excited that I am going to a party with Mateo. We had become really close in the past month. I mean we are not dating but we are good friends. I just like being around with him.

We even went for shopping. more clubbing and dinner together with our team. Our team includes the Ashley and Jessie love birds. We really had lots of fun together.
