It has been a week since I met Mateo and today he invited me to his office. Things between me and Ashley are smooth but I still think she doesn't have faith on me. I can work on that.

The elevator chimes at 28th floor and I entered into Mateo's office. I walked towards the receptionist who were sitting under the big sign written 'Beth Inc'. 

"Hi, I am here to see Mr. Mateo Grahams"

"And you are?" she asks looking up at me from her computer screen.

"June Williams"

"Do you have any appointment?"

"Yes, I do."

She take the phone and dialed some number, which I guess Mateo's. Maybe she is informing him that I am here.

"Please have a seat" she point me to the waiting area.

I just went there and sit on the couch. Maybe he is in a meeting, I checked the time on my wristwatch. It is 3.35 pm now and he only have meeting at 4 pm right. I took out my phone and called him, he answered.

"Hey angel, are you here?"

"Yes but the receptionist asks me to wait at the waiting area"

"What? Why? I am waiting for you here and she didn't even inform me.  I'll be there in a minute" he end the call.

I thought she called him just now, but she didn't inform him? Who was she talking to then? I stands up and walks towards the receptionist when I heard Mateo was yelling at her.

Oh my god.

"Mateo!" I called him.

"Baby, I am sorry. How long have you been here" he walked towards me. 

"Hey, its okay. Not too long, why are you shouting at her? everyone is looking at us" I said and looked around.

"Come with me" he grabbed my hand and lead me to his office room.

We walked into his office room which was very spacious with a glass table and a set of couches at the corner of the room. The view from his office was just breathtaking, I can see the whole New York city from here. There was a bookcase on the other corner of the room and his desk was piled up with stacks of files and papers. He does have closet in here, this looks amazing.

"This is really nice" I said in amazement.

"I am sorry about earlier angel" he pushes a button next to the door.

"Hey don't worry about that. What's that?" I ask.

"This turn the glass into a shield around this room. I can see out but no one can see inside. So, I can have privacy when I need" 

"That is really cool" I said and walked towards him.  I hooked my arms around his neck, "I miss you". 

He looks really tired, with his messy hair and his blue shirt had some wrinkles due to long hours working. He lean down at me and kissed my forehead.

"I miss you too, angel. One moment, I need to make sure there is no problem occurs when you are coming in here next time" 

He walked towards his desk and called someone. He sat on his chair and I was standing at his desk.

"Come here" he said and I walked towards him and stopped when I heard the door open.

I saw Tessa, walking in the room with her black heels on. Her hair was pulled back into a low bun and she was wearing a mint green V neck blouse with a tight fit short skirt. Her smug face was on when she looked at me and I give her a fake smile which she returns.
