"This is the start of how it all ends."
Azize's POV
"How are you, Yaman?" I asked him, deeply concerned about his state but at the same time glad that he's conscious now.
"I am fine, way better than I actually seem. Thanks to Kartal Ağabey that he didn't leave me there." He spoke slowly with a voice lingered with absolute illness.
I looked at my watch, then at Caner, "I'm sure you'll get better, Kartal is impatiently waiting for your recovery." I told him and he gave me a small smile.
"Tell me, do you need anything? I know that Caner is a way better company than me, but you can chat with me about football too I have enough information to keep the conversation going." I said, instantly remembering Yiğit.
"Thank you so much for everything." He said and I smiled at him, also wondering if his gentleness could find a way out of the Alpans palace one day.
"Caner, I've told them to prepare a special breakfast for Yaman, will you bring it from the kitchen?"
"Sure." The young man was quick to help. I gave Yaman a tight smile and he looked at me strangely, once Caner left I told him, "You both will only have maximum five minutes, or else you won't be able to call me Yenge again." I said and he wanted to ask me what's going on, but his question was answered once he saw Ceyda entering.
"Yaman!" She hurried to him, she eyed him hesitated whether to hug him or not because of his lack of reaction, "Ceyda Hanım?"
"Oh for god's sake, I know." I scolded him playfully, "As I said, five minutes or you'll have this palace Azize-less." I joked, not knowing to who I own my good mood, then left them on their own, gaining an appreciative smile from them.
I left the room but stood there by the doorstep holding the doorknob as if my power could ever stop any Alpan from stealing their moment from them.
In this short time I repeated Zeynep Hanım words in my mind, which reminded me again how I belong to nowhere, even if I faked the opposite of this for a short period of time.
As all I could hear was their whispers, I heard another noise, footsteps signing that someone is coming downstairs, I wasted no time in getting inside which was enough to both of them to snap out of their moment.
"Someone is coming." I said and Ceyda immediately took enough steps back from Yaman's bed, and I stood there by the monitor pretending to be checking something. The next moment the door was opened, revealing Kartal and Caner carrying the tray.
"Ceyda?" Kartal commented.
"Ağabey! Thank god, how are you?" Ceyda said in rush and worry, I looked at them and Kartal didn't move an inch for Ceyda's words, I can read it from his stiff nod.
"What are you doing here?" Kartal asked Ceyda at the same time she was trying to ease the tension and asking, "How are you feeling?"
"I- I was giving Azize her phone, she left it with me." She strutted.
Kartal eyed the situation carefully, I now know when Kartal is fully convinced or not, and I can say that he didn't buy what Ceyda said but he had to play along because he didn't want to trust his imagination.
"Are you done?" He asked and my eyes were on Ceyda who was staring at her brother, intimidated. It took me a few seconds to understand that the question was for me, not her.
"Uh, yes. I will just check the breakfast-"
"I checked it, go upstairs." He cut, with ordering tone. Something definitely is wrong but I could never stand against him now.
