Chapter 1

Azize's POV.

"Go ahead, shoot me!" Kartal yelled at me again, "Because trust me Azize, as much as I know that you have the right to, I won't let you take any other Aplan." Now his stare is scarring me, and this is my confusion with Kartal, those eyes supplies you with both security and fright.

"Kartal, I will never do this to you." I said calmly as tears started to fill my eyes, "Especially to you." I whispered not sure that he heard.

"Be brave Azize, it's once in a lifetime shot, I've spent my life protecting this family, from everything at all costs. Don't ever think about harming any of them." He said through his teeth, and suddenly the Kartal I fell for this morning, who I almost kissed by the empty pool, who let me choose his tie an hour ago, vanished. I threw the gun away, pulled away from his gaze, and took a step back, letting this all sink in, almost wanting to shoot myself for believing for a split second that he is someone else, someone I could take as a shelter from all this cruelty.

I didn't realize that I was crying until he said, "Ağlama!" My body started to tremble, I would have blamed the cold if not I'm wearing heavy coat. My hand started to shake, so I intertwined them so I could slow down my actions, I had nothing left to say to Kartal, he was staring at me like I was an alien. I turned and walked back to my room in the Alpan mansion.
