Y/n POV
"MOMMYYYYYYY I FOUND YOUUUU!!!"
I turned around, only for my black haired, round eyed daughter to jump into my arms. The child's squeals directed everyone's attention to us.
"D/n what the hell are you doing here? I told you to stay with Chrollo!" I scolded the six year old.
"Bu-but I missed you," D/n responded, eyes glazing over with tears. This child is unbelievable. It hadn't even been a full day since she's last seen me and she already couldn't wait to see me? And of all times for her to want to run off and find me it just had to be when I was taking the hunter exam??
I sighed and held the small girl on my hip, accepting things as they were since there was nothing I can do about it. "It's okay that you missed me but never go running off like that again, even if you're coming to find me, got it?"
"Okay mommy..." D/n sniffled and looked down. She looked so upset but now wasn't the time for feeling guilty. I had a hunter license to secure.
Shortly after, one of the walls lifted up revealing a lanky man with pinkish hair and a funny looking mustache.
"I appologize for the delay, thank you for waiting."
Everyone's eyes were now on the man, who I presume is an examiner.
"The entry period for hunter applicants has officially closed. So with no further a do, the hunter exam will now begin. One final word of caution, if you're short on luck or ability, keep in mind that there is a very real chance you could end up seriously injured. Death is another distinct possibility."
I looked down to the girl in my arms, hoping there will be some way I can get her out of here before we can start anything too dangerous.
"If your'e willing to accept the risks involved, I'll ask you to follow me now. But for the rest of you, kindly exit through the elevator located behind you."
I glanced to the elevator then back to my child. "D/n, you should get back to Chrollo while you still have a chance."
The girl crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks while looking away. "No! I'm a big girl and I wanna do this too! If mommy can die then I'll make sure I'm there with you to stop anything bad from happening!!!"
She turned back to look at me as she said this, her wide eyes now being filled with a sudden burst of energy and detirmination. She then started squirming, signalling me to put her down.
"Right then, very well. All 406 applicants will now participate in phase 1."
The man then turned around and started walking. Everyone followed in suit, as I looked down to the girl walking next to me. There was an intense feeling. It felt like a very strong aura coming from my daughters general direction. Based off of who her parents are, theres no doubt that D/n would be very powerful, but I never would of thought her aura nodes would be able to open up this early. I don't even have the slightest clue of how it happened.
Soon after, we broke out into a light jog. I kept running, not looking down at her while I ask, "D/n, do you think you can keep up?"
The girl looked up at me and gave me a sweet smile. "Of corse momma, I'm a big girl remember?"
"Alright, but since you want to continue just remember I may not be there with you the whole exam. There's a possibility we can get separated so don't be too dependant on me okay?"
"Okay! Imma go now and make friends. I'll show you how big I really am!"
And with that, she ran off in another direction. After she was out of sight, I heard a voice comming from behind me.
"My my, is her aura delightful~"
