(The next day)
Mal's POV
I wake up to my mom shaking me and slowly sit up.
"Finally! You're gonna be late for school!" She says.
"I can't go to school, not unless she leaves" i say.
"What? Who?" She asks confused."Evie, she goes
to school here now" i say."Wait what? Since when?" She asks surprised."Yesterday" i say."Why do you hate her so much anyway?" She asks me."I don't,
i still love her, that's why i can't face her" i say sadly.
"Can't you two make up? She's been trying to reach you all summer, why don't you just ask her why?"
My mom then says."Hey, you're gonna be late!"
jane says walking in."What are you doing here?"
I say."Checking up on you, don't worry, mason let me in" she then says."Honey, who is this?" My mom asks."Mom this is my friend jane, jane this my mom" I say."Nice to meet you" jane says."Nice to meet
you as well" my mom says."Why don't you girls
have a talk, one on one?" My mom says standing up.
"Thanks mom" i say, my mom leaves and jane's
jaw drops."Your mom is amazing" she says, still shocked."I'm really lucky" i say."You should talk
to Evie" jane says."Honestly, i kinda want to, i'm
just scared i'll fall for her again" i say."Come on, we've gotta go to school" she says pulling me
from my bed, I get dressed and we run downstairs.
"Hey honey, did you change your mind?" My mom asks as we rush into the kitchen."Yeah sorta, gotta go, love ya" i say quickly and we run out and jump on my motorcycle. During lunchbreak jane and
i are walking towards the cafeteria, looking for evie. "Where is she?" I ask."I don't know" she says. I look around some more and someone catches my eye. "Carlos?" I say, he turns around and his surprised faces slowly becomes a happy face."Mal?" He says walking up to me."Hi, what are you doing here?"
I say and we hug."Didn't you hear? We moved here with Evie" Carlos says releasing me."We?" I say. "Yeah, jay's here too" Carlos says."I'll go get him"
he says walking back the crowd he was just with.
"Mal, you're really here" jay says happily."Yeah, i missed you" i say and we also hug."Guys this is jane and lonnie. jane, lonnie, this is Jay and Carlos my best friends from my old school" I say."Hi, nice to meet you" jane says."Nice to meet you too" Carlos says."Do you guys know where evie is? I really wanna talk to her" I ask the guys."She's sick, but
why do you wanna talk to her after what happened?" Carlos asks, i start blushing like a tomato."Oh"
jay says."Don't tell her" i say awkwardly."Our lips are sealed" jay says."Yep" Carlos says."Thanks, can i ask you guys for a favor?" I ask."Always" jay says. "Can you show me where Evie lives, after school?"
I ask."Done" Carlos says. After school carlos just escorted me to Evie's house and i ring the doorbell, her mom answers."Hi miss Carson, is evie home?"
I ask."Evie, mal is here for you!" She yells up the stairs, for some reason evie comes rushing down
the stairs."Hi, what are you doing here?" She asks me."Can we just talk?" I ask."Sure, we can go to
my room?" She's really nervous."Okay" i say and
we start walking up the stairs."Evie" i say when she opens her bedroom door."Yeah?" She says turning around."Just- relax, i'm not here to argue" i say. "Sorry, i just-" she cuts herself off and sits down in her windowseat."What?" I ask softly sitting down with her."I missed you so so much" she says crying
a little."I missed you too, i had the worst summer"
i say putting an arm around her."What did you
want to talk about?" she ask me."I just wanted to
ask you why you were trying so hard to reach me
all summer" i say."I wanted a chance to explain the situation from my point of view" she says."Oh, well, take your chance, i guess" i say."I was scared, i let my fear get the best of me and told the entire school that i pretended to like you and regretted it as soon as i did, i've kicked myself everyday since then, i was happy and i let those bullies ruin that-" she pauses and starts crying."I let myself break your heart,
the one thing that's more important to me than anything is your happiness and i took that from you, you didn't deserve that, you deserve better than me"
she whispers while still crying. I look at her, tears streaming down her face and drop myself in her arms. We stay like this for like 10 minutes then
i check the time."I have to go now, promised my
mom i'd be home for dinner. You wanna join us?"
I say."You think your mom would be okay with that?" She asks me wiping her tears."Are you kidding? My mom misses you" i say laughing.
"Okay, i'll come" she says standing up."Okay then, let's go" i say, we get on my motorbike and go to my house."By the way i promised Jane she could come over for dinner tonight, that okay?" I ask her as we walk to the front door."Yeah, she's your friend, i'm not even close" she says, her tone getting lower word for word."What?" I say turning around. "I mean you haven't forgiven me yet" she says sadly. "Of course i forgive you" i say and hug her, we go inside and my mom walks up to us."Hi mom, you remember Evie?" I say."Hi" evie says shy. "Hey, don't worry" i tell her, she smiles."Thanks" She says."Is jane here already?" I ask."Yeah she's on the couch with mason" my mom says."Okay" i say and evie and i go join them."Oh hey Mal, where were you-" she pauses as she sees Evie.
"Oh, i guess i've got my answer" she says."E, why don't you catch up with Mason?" I ask her."Sure" evie says sitting down next to Mason."Come with me" i say pulling Jane into the hallway with me.
"Are you two back together or?" She asks."No, but
if you keep acting like this she's gonna know that i want her back and i'll be completely embarrassed"
i say."I'm really sorry, i'm an idiot" she then says.
"No your not! You're smart, pretty, sweet, funny
and lots more, but not an idiot" I say, all she does
is hug me. I hear my phone buzz and take it out to see Taylor swift has posted on Instagram."HOLY-!"
I say."What?" Jane asks, but I ignore her and rush back into the living room."E, did you see it?!" I ask excited."what?" She asks."Taylor Swift is touring and she's coming here!" I say."OMG! WE HAVE TO GO!" She yells."Woah ladies whats the exciting news?"
My mom asks us."Taylor Swift is having a concert here in two weeks!" I say."Well then, what are you waiting for, get tickets!" My mom says."Really? We can go?" I ask."Of course honey, you love Taylor Swift" my mom says, then hugs me. "And her" she whispers."Seriously?!" I say, releasing her."What?" Evie asks."Nothing!" I quickly say. "Okay?" Evie says confused.
