Evie's POV
3 days ago Mal kissed me, she hasn't spoken to
me ever since and didn't come to school today.
It's lunchbreak and i'm sitting with jane, lonnie, audrey, jay and carlos. You heard it right, Audrey is our friend now and she's actually a great person.
"Have you talked to mal since the concert and..
you know" Jane asks."No, she's been avoiding me"
i answer lowly."What happened between you and mal at the concert?" Carlos asks."She kissed me on the ride back" i say quietly."Oh" jay says."I know,
i'm going to her house to talk to her after school"
i say."Tell us how it goes, okay?" Audrey says softly taking my hand."Yeah" i say and gently take back
my hand. After school I walk up to the front door
of mal's house and ring the bell, mason answers.
"Hey Mason, is mal home?" i say."Mal, someone's
at the door for you!" He yells, after a few minutes mal comes up to the door and her smile slowly fades."Can we just talk about it?" I ask and she
steps away, i step inside and follow her upstairs.
i sit down on her bed, she closes the door and joins me."Why?" I ask."I don't know, i didn't mean to-
it just wasn't supposed to happen" she stumbles.
"Did you like it?" I ask."Evie, the kiss meant nothing okay! It was a mistake and i'm sorry!" She yells.
"Can you please leave now?" She whispers."Okay,
i'll go" i whisper softly, then get up and walk towards
the door. I turn around and look at her, then close the door behind me and leave. Yes, i want her back, more than anything.. But she doesn't have any feelings for me, she made that perfectly clear.
I'm on my way home and pull out my phone
to text everyone
To: Audrey 💕, jane 💎, Lonnie 🏀, Carlos 🐶
and jay😏
Subject: Mal doesn't care, please come over
Ps. Bring icecream
I sent the text and went home, i opened the front door and recieved a text:
Audrey 💕: omw with a big bucket 🥺
Evie💙: thanks☺️
I walk up the stairs, jump into sweats and slide under the covers of my bed. I reach for my journal
on my nightstand and a pen and start writing:

I know you'll probably never read this. That's not why i'm writing it, i'm writing for me. i messed up bad with you, i was an idiot for letting those bullies control us. i know you forgave me for that, but that doesn't change the way i feel about what i did..
I'd do anything to have you back, even though you've already moved on..

Just as i'm done i hear someone open the door and get out from under the covers."Woah" audrey says
as she sees me."Hey" i say lowly."i bought you the icecream you asked for" she says sitting down on
the bed next to me."Thanks, what flavor?" I say slightly smiling."Cookie dough" she answers.
"That's actually my favorite" i say."Jane told me"
she answers."What happened?" She asked me.
"She yelled that the kiss meant nothing, that it
was a mistake and she was sorry and then she practically begged me to leave" i say while eating
the icecream."That's nothing like her" audrey says
2 hours later one of our phones buzzes."It's jane, she's gonna talk to mal" audrey says."Why would
she wanna talk to mal?" I ask."Why would i
know that?" She asks."I can think of a reason"
i say and slowly grin."What?" She asks, i don't say anything."No! I do not like her like that!" Audrey then says."Sure, if that's what you wan-" i cut myself off and audrey looks concerned."Are you okay?"
She asks, I shake my head, rush to the bathroom
and throw up in the sink."Did you eat the whole bucket?!" Audrey yells from my room.

Audrey's POV
while Evie is in the bathroom, i pull out my phone and text jane:
Audrey 🌸: hey, if you're still gonna talk to mal, mention that evie ate a whole bucket of icecream
in like 2 hours and just threw it all up 😬
Jane💫: woah, that's new, i'll definetly mention it

Jane's POV
I walk up the steps at Mal's house and ring the doorbell."Hey, jane" her mom says as she answers the door."Hi, is mal home?" I ask."She's upstairs
in her room" her mom says as she steps aside.
"Okay, thanks" i say and i walk up the stairs."Mal?"
I say as I knock on the door."Come in" She says.
"How could you do that to her?!" I say sternly.
"What are you talking about?!" she says closing
her laptop."Evie!" I yell."What's with her?!"
She yells."She's broken!" I yell."What?" Mal asks.
"She thinks you've moved on" I say."What? Why would she think that?" Mal asks me."Because you said the kiss meant nothing" I say."Audrey visited her today with icecream because she asked for it, after 2 hours the entire bucket was empty and a
few minutes after that.. so was evie's stomach"
I explain."Because of me?" She asked concerned. "Yeah" I say."But, why would she be upset about what I said? I apologized multiple times" She says. "I'm just gonna look out the window for a moment"
I say neutrally."You know something don't you?"
She then asks me."No, why would I know something? I mean, if I did, I would've told you"
I say, then get a text from Audrey asking to meet
up at the lake."Hey, I gotta go, call me tonight?"
I say."yeah, I will" She says. After Jane arrives
at the lake I'm walking down the steps towards
the platform and I see Audrey, pacing back and forth."Woah, hey, what's wrong?" I say."Oh, good, you're here" She says."Yeah, so what's wrong?" I ask her again."Evie is suspicious about us" She answers. "You know, maybe we should tell them" I say.
"They wouldn't judge us" She says."Or be surprised" I say.
