With the help of the Crown Prince, Nava was able to get home without encountering anyone else. Sometimes having an older brother who is royalty comes in handy.

The whole way home Nava walked with her head low as she remembered what Ferrie had said to her.

It had been a while since she has interacted with other bird-people so having him say those things really got to her head.

Throughout her whole life, the citizens of the Bird Kingdom have said those things to her. She believed she was used to it but now she was not so sure.

And the worst part was that she cannot even deny their claims because they are all true.

She was not normal, her whole existence is a mistake. If it was not evident by the way people treated her, it sure was by the way she is not even able to control her powers like everyone else.

She really wanted to control it, but she could not, no matter how much she tried it never worked.

Nava was standing in the center of an empty home but nothing about the place made it seem as if there was actually someone living there, it seemed more like a storage place.

There was hardly any light and everything either seemed too expensive or close to rotting. It was a strange combination thanks to the Crown Prince who sometimes gave her random items from the palace for her to have.

Nava never felt resentment towards her older brother who lived a more lavish life than she did, but every time she thought about their sibling relationship she wished she could be closer to him as a little sister, rather than the royal mistake he has to clean after.

Slowly she walked to the restroom where a large mirror was leaning against the wall.

"I'm human," she muttered to herself as she touched her tan face.

As Nava grew older and could not control her shifting, more people have been seeing her in her human form. Even if people often say bad things about her she has sometimes heard whispers about how beautiful she was despite what everyone thought of her.

Internally Nava wondered if she was as pretty as people believed, but before she could feel any comfort in her own body she groaned out loud as other thoughts flooded her head. "It doesn't even matter if I'm pretty, everyone is still going to think the same about me either way."

She looked at the mirror again, this time with knitted eyebrows as she looked at her human form with disgust. All she wanted was to be like everyone else.

She tightly clenched her fists.

"Come on. Shift."

She shut her eyes and focused harder.

"Come on! Just once, do it," she pled to herself.

Nava continued in that position until she felt her nails painfully digging into her palms. When she opened her eyes and saw the same face staring back at her, she sunk to the floor in defeat.

"Why can't I be like Welter?" She asked the empty room.

Nava started to feel worse about herself. She placed her hands over her head and thought of only one thing.

"I wanna see Sir Ivonne," she whispered.

Even she knew how Sir Ivonne was seen through the eyes of others but deep down she believed she knew the real him he fails to show others.

Nava does not remember when she started to feel this strong about him but she knew no matter how much her brother will ask her to cut her visits she does not think she could.

Sir Ivonne has become such an important part of her life, and she believes it is the same for him.

She could not think of leaving him alone, especially now that he needed someone to confined in more than ever.

Sir Ivonne's plans to obtain the Heart of Yelinda has been news in the Celestial World for quite some time but it was not that important for anyone to get involved.

Jewels that were still left in the human world are not worth anyone's time because of how useless they are to magical beings.

Since the Heart of Yelinda could not pose a big enough threat to the Celestial World, magical beings decided to leave it alone and let it play out on its own.

Deep down Nava wished she could help Sir Ivonne but interfering with an issue that has already been left alone could lead to bigger problems.

She is already going out of line by becoming close to a human, any more interaction or worse; revealing her identity, could get her severely punished.

Nava sighed as she got up from the dirty floor. "This is all too complicated," she complained.

She walked to her bedroom and laid down on her bed with a thud.

"Maybe... Welter is right," she said as she remembered his suggestion to marry Sir Rinaro.

"If I were to marry him, things would get better."

Sir Rinaro is the son of a well-respected guard in the royal family, although Sir Rinaro's passions lie more in the organization of magical relations, he is still someone who could change the perspective of Nava to others.

There was also the fact that it was more possible for Nava to marry Sir Rinaro than Sir Ivonne.

There has not been a magical being with a human since the day magical beings created the Celestial World and separated themselves from the humans.

Now, the only magical beings allowed to go into the human world are the bird-people who are used as spies to keep the human world in check.

Even the thought of a relationship together is impossible.

Nava's head was filled with the truth of the world she was born into and decided to rest.

Thinking too hard about things that have no real solutions only caused her to have headaches. She closed her eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

I went shopping today. It was really fun and my mom made my favorite food today! I don't know the name of it but I think it's Mexican food.
