The makeup took longer than Nava initially thought it would take.

She could only think about Bartha, who wore makeup daily, and how she now found that maybe that girl had a lot more patience than what she let on.

"Make sure to not rub your face with your hands. If you really need to just dab it lightly so it does not stain." Ivy instructed as she brushed the last bit of blush onto Nava's cheeks.

"Close your eyes." Ivy put small sprits of perfume over her and Nava had to stop herself from chasing after the droplets with her nose.

"All done."

Ivy moved away from in front of Nava and appeared in front of her again with a large mirror.

Nava had seen herself little by little but she finally got to see the end product of what six hours could do.

She looked breathtaking in every way. The makeup was put on so that it looked smooth on her tan skin, with powder only being seen if you looked close enough.

Little bits of her face were emphasized on her most prominent features and her normally monotone expressions seemed to be livelier.

Nava could not believe how good of a job Ivy did with everything.

Deep down she believed Ivy would do the bare minimum but seeing how everything came together better than she would have ever imagined, she took her prejudice back.

"Thank you, Ivy," Nava said sincerely, as she continued to admire herself in the mirror.

"You are welcome."

Ivy moved the mirror away and started to pack everything off the table. "We best get going now, the dinner will be starting soon."

Yes, the dinner.

Even though the whole time Ivy was doing Nava's makeup they were both silent, a lot was going on in Nava's head those six endless hours.

Nothing bothered her more than having to think seriously about things. She liked going with the flow but right now she could not seem to find the flow to go on.

Having been pampered all day had its bright side but she knew that once it was over it would be time for her to meet up with Sir Rinaro and reply to the proposal he may or may not be asking.

The words the Crown Prince had told her almost a week ago kept ringing in her ears as if reminding her that her only option was to say 'yes'.

This was her only opportunity to live a good life in the Bird Kingdom.

Being accepted into Sir Rinaro's family will make the citizen's thoughts about Nava lighten and with the approval of the Crown Prince, it would be set in stone that no one would object.

The other option was no different from what she is currently living with. The only difference is, this one does not have a way out anymore.

Saying 'no' to the proposal means she will continue living her life as an outcast in the only home she has ever known.

In the future, she could possibly be exiled somewhere far away that not even the Crown Prince could help her come back.

Then there was the option that kept popping in her head no matter how many times she tried to get it out.

She could run away to the human world.

Nava did not even try planning further than that.

It was a rule amongst the magical creatures residing in the Celestial World that no magical beings should ever go back into the human world and live among the humans.

It has been that way for centuries, even the existence of magical creatures has been forgotten to the humans that they now believe it is all just fictional stories.

If Nava were to take that risk, not just the Bird Kingdom, but also all leaders of the Celestial World would be after her head for breaking this ancient law.

So after hours of going back and forth about what she should do, she finally made a decision.

Nava knew when things were bad and that the world does not always give people chances more than once. If she does not take this chance now she may regret it for the rest of her life.

Nava concluded that she will agree to the marriage between herself and Sir Rinaro.

She has met with him countless times and for a long time, he has always been good to her. Even though there was no love or a strong connection like she would have hoped for in her future husband.

She is just glad that she got one who will benefit her.

When the dinner is finished, she decided that she would have to say goodbye to Sir Ivonne.

Even though the wedding will not be for a while it was still unlikely that she will still have time to visit Sir Ivonne once everything becomes public.

She still planned on visiting but she had the feeling that she should say goodbye now just in case things do not go as she would hope for.

Thinking about having to say goodbye to someone she has spent so much time with made her a little emotional.

Nava felt her eyes start to sting and she took a deep breath in as she straightened her back.

She was always good with controlling her tears, she does not remember the last time she had cried, but with this proposal and goodbyes, she believed that she was getting overwhelmed by it all.

Nava finally got up from her chair and felt her legs wiggle from how numb they were.

She had been sitting down for so long that she had to walk around a little bit before being able to feel her legs again.

"Nervous?"

"Huh?"

Ivy glanced at Nava with a knowing smirk as she continued to pack the last things.

"You have been muttering to yourself for a while now. Unlike some other people I have seen, you have been as still as stone since the moment I started putting makeup on you."

Ivy closed the basket with a smack and turned towards Nava. "Let's go."
