I'm extending this Love book to an important thing that I want for you to do today:
Love yourself
There's a lot of stuff we can't control, but loving ourselves is one thing we do have control of, as tough as it feels sometimes.
Life is challenging. We get lemons sometimes, and not everything goes to plan. We deal with issues relating to family, friends, work, studies, health, and the list goes on.
Our bodies aren't invincible - we need to listen to our minds, our feelings, and all the physical signals that are there. Take care of you.
We can't compare ourselves to other people. That is one thing we need to consciously stop doing. If you're competitive by nature, the only person we ought to be competing with is ourselves. Don't worry about anyone else. Just focus on your own milestones.
There is no room in your life for envy or negativity. The person you hurt most is yourself.
We can embrace the uniqueness we have - do you know that nobody else has the same fingerprint that you have? That is how special you are.
Think of all the things you've achieved, not what you haven't achieved. Think of where you were two years ago, and where you are now.
Believe in your goals. Be realistic, and be fair to yourself and others.
You don't fail when you make mistakes. You fail when you don't give yourself a second chance.
Don't worry too much about what others think of you.
Find something healthy and positive that you enjoy.
What makes you smile? What makes you laugh?
Who do you love and care about?'
I hope that person is you.
