It was the day her mother has been waiting for since she held her in her arms for the first time. She was made aware of this as soon as she turned a certain age. Her mother did give up on her hope long ago when she turned down every suitable boy, she was trying to pair her up with. There she stood looking like the mother of the bride and every bit proud of the fact that this event was happening in her lifetime.

Wedding was one of the biggest events of one's life. She knew it better than anyone else as that's what she did. She helped numerous brides sail through their big day but even with all the knowledge she had, she has been a nervous wreck the last few days.

When everyone expected her to go all out and set the trend of the year with her own wedding, she threw a curveball choosing the modest celebration ever with just their family and close friends in the middle of the woods. Strangely she had an unexpected vision of her wedding and she realised she set up everything to match it.

She looked at her father, walking by her side holding her hand. He looked the happiest she has ever seen him. She took small steps as she neared the bridge, the only thing separating her from her destination. Is she ready to cross the threshold or would it be okay to do a runner now?

She got a brief glimpse of his back and even that was enough for her feet to pick up pace on their own accord. She wondered what he thought of the location and the décor considering she hardly spoke to him the last 2 weeks or took any input from him. He turned on cue as her eyes pierced his back and gave her a smile.

He held out his hand for her and led her to the table

He held out his hand for her and led her to the table. They sat down as the ceremony began.

"Evet" He said, turning to see her, flashing his dimples.

She sighed as she saw those dimples. They've been the bane of her existence. The things he got away with that smile of his. She recalled the first time it proved to be dangerous for her.

It was her first time at the swimming pool as a 5-year-old and the water seemed to scare her. She stood far away from the pool defying all her mother's attempts to pull her forward. She spotted him as a 6-year-old coming out of the pool, waving her to come forward flashing a bright smile. Even as a small girl, her senses alerted her not to do it but she went and joined him anyways.

"Being in the water is so much fun" He jumped up and down.

"I'm scared." She timidly said.

"Come and stand here." He pointed to the end of the pool.

She shook her head in dismissal as he came out of the pool to stand beside her.

"Ezgi... Ezgi... Ezgi??" She heard him call her name again and again.

"Evet" She answered, taking a step forward only to be pushed by him into the pool of water intensifying her fear of water for life.

"Ezgi???" She heard his voice coming out of her trance.

"Evet" She said, and the crowd erupted into cheering. How does she trust him every time even after 25 years of life telling her that it was a foolish idea? Her mind screaming at her that she can never trust him. How can she be so foolish when it comes to him? Why can she never control herself?
