Chapter 1

  "Yugi, I'm home" his father yelled
  Amane put on a fake smile "hi dad!"
  His father went into his room while Amane ran to the bucket of fish.
  He rolled up his sleeve and stuck his hand into the bucket.
  "Eww slimy" he giggled.
  That's when something felt off... hair? How could there be hair on a fish?
  He looked down the see a small half-human half-fish creature with long blonde and mint hair.
  He smiled at the creature and filled a pitcher with water and tiny pebbles and placed the creature inside.
  He carefully brought it to his room looking the happiest he's evert been.
  "Don't worry" he said, placing down the pitcher "I won't hurt you!"
  "What are you?" He questioned "can you talk?"
  It looked embarrassed and nodded.
  "You can?! Great!" He chuckled
  He thought for another moment before he spoke again " you seem like a beta fish, but you're also not a fish. Hm, do you have a name?"
  The creature finally spoke "Y-Yashiro is my name"
  "That's a cool name!" He said excitedly "I'm Amane!"
  "H-hi Amane" she said softly
  He smiled at Yashiro showing off his favorite, NASA, t-shirt.
  "It looks good on you" Yashiro chuckled a little
  "One thing Ive always wanted to do was go to the moon!" He smiled warmly, but his smile quickly faded "my dads coming"
  He ran out of his room, hoping father won't see his new friend.
  SMACK! The sound of something falling echoed.
  Amane limped back to his room.
  "Are you ok?!" Yashiro worried.
  Hanako nodded and lied "I just fell down the stairs."
  Yashiro still seemed worried about her new friend as he was worried about his.
  "I'm fine I promise" Amane smiled. "Can you breathe out of water?"
  She nodded "only for a little bit, unless I eat a fish scale."
  Hanako took her out and left a small ladder by the pitcher to let her go in and out as she pleased.
  He carefully rubbed her head with his index finger, and went to sleep leaving candies by her bowl for her to eat.
