sweet summer breezes and saltwater kisses,

the pitter patter of raindrops and the fallen diamonds from our eyes,

paper airplanes dangling from silver chains carved with your name and midnight trips to the supermarket,

stolen moments under the stars and hidden smiles across hallways,

oversized flannels and too tight sweatshirts,

brown eyes glimmering golden in the sunset and white icing on foreheads,

cackles resonating in the dawn and cheesy jokes shared between us and the stars,

horrid poetry scribbled in your brother's crayon and yellow tulips clutched in ringed fingers,

kites flown in dead summer air and plucked daisies,

cliff jumping with your best friends and cave exploring with mine,

inexperienced fingers braiding my hair and palm tree bunches in yours,

radiant colgate smiles and shiseido lips,

hair razor attacks and two am undercuts,

road trips with our playlists on repeat and races to the restaurant,

tango lessons behind closed curtains and silver neckties that match my dress,

stolen bonnets and interchanged gloves,

fingers on fingers, lips on lips, skin on skin,

that's how i'll remember you.
