"Hey!! Mitsuba!!" Kou called excitedly, running over the girl who was crouching near a patch of flowers. Mitsuba sighed at the disruption.

"Is there something you need, lame-ass?" She asked, holding her camera still and looking through the lense.

School had ended a little while ago, but Mitsuba had stayed because of the photography club, and Kou had important student council business. Once that had finished, she had just been taking pictures of the scenery. She hadn't expected that the cheery popular girl with golden hair would seek her out for any reason.

"Hey, my earring isn't lame!" Kou exclaimed once she was behind her, panting softly. Mitsuba ignored her, focusing more on capturing the pretty violets in front of her.

Unfortunately, it was no use. Kou seemed determined to interrupt her. She was brimming with anticipation, her blue eyes sparkling.

"Mitsuba! Do you want to walk home with me?" She asked happily. And even though her back was turned, Mitsuba swore she could feel Kou's gaze bearing into her. She rolled her eyes.

"Why can't you just walk home with someone else, what are you, some sort of pervert?!" She said in a mocking tone, tucking her bubblegum colored hair behind her ear. Kou huffed and crossed her arms.

"I am not a pervert!" She said. "Is it weird to want to walk home with a friend?!"

"Who said we were friends?" Mitsuba responded incredulously. "Oh, I get it. You want to use me for dirty videos huh?!? Well I'm not falling for your tricks!" She narrowed her eyes.

"What?! I already told you I'm not pervert!" Kou shot back, running her fingers through her ponytail in frustration. She visibly pouted, "I want us to be friends, okay?!"

"And why is that? It doesn't make any sense." She brushed the dirt off of her uniform. Kou's face grew slightly flushed and she averted her eyes.

"You just seem kinda cool..., that's all." she said, her strong exterior suddenly disappearing. Mitsuba turned red.

"So you really are dirty, I knew it! Stupid dumbass.." she trailed off. Kou didn't even bother telling her she was wrong, they both just stood there for a moment.

Then she abruptly stood up, making Kou take a step back in surprise. Mitsuba sighed and looked at her, her cheeks still dusted pink as she put her camera back in her bag. The blonde just stared at her with a dumbfounded look on her face, which pissed her off to an extent.

"What's your deal, a beautiful person has just agreed to walk with you, aren't you happy?!" She said loudly, not meeting her eyes.

Kou lit up, all embarrassment forgotten. She beamed widely and gazed at her with a stupid amount of happiness.

"Thanks Mitsuba!!!!" She grabbed onto her arm, making her stumble.

"Hmph, just don't make me regret this." She told her, both trying and failing to escape from her grasp. The girl didn't even respond, dragging her to the school gates with a smile on her face. Mitsuba found herself being drawn to that smile. It brightened her whole face, bringing out her ocean colored eyes and giving her a comforting aura.

Biting back a grin of her own, she couldn't help thinking that just maybe....

This could be fun.
