"This is a job that only you can do, we're counting on you." the clergymen said lastly.

"I see. I will successfully carry out the mission of finding and reporting information to the church about the demon generals Lucifer, Alciel and their Dark Lord," though a part of me hesitated, this deed must be fulfilled. I turned to the open portal.

I hope she does not lose sight of the goal. I heard one of the clergymen think.

"You need not worry. I do not intend to leave Earth with a fruitless outcome." I spoke my last reply to them before leaping into the unknown world beyond.

☆☆☆

"Aaaaaah!" The violet shades bounded altogether unraveled a new world to my eyes. The portal's colors vanished stream by stream, into the blue sky.

I fell out of the gate trying to steady myself on a foot but my heel failed to balance my body. I tripped and landed on the concrete. My body felt a pound as the impact got to me.

The mission. Had it worked? Had I really gone through the Gate?

I groaned, slowly opening my eyes. I looked down at myself. There wasn't a great difference in my appearance from Ente Isla. My hair became a lighter tone of green than it was prior. My sword, Celestial Blade, needed to accompany me in my assignment so I disguised the weapon as glasses. My glasses fell onto my forehead. I held my head as I felt it throbbing, and I gritted my teeth.

"Maou-san!" a girl with light brown-orange hair shouted. "A girl fell outside!" a man followed her as she rushed to my aid.

If the gate took me to the Dark Lord's location, could this be him? I began thinking to myself.

"Are you alright?" His hair was the darkest shade of green. He looked at me worriedly with red-orange eyes that had slits drawn in where the pupils cover. Behind them a meager spark of dark magic lay inside.

This is the Overlord, without a doubt.

"I do not...feel so good." My eyes closed at the ringing in my head.

☆☆☆

"Ah, you're awake. how do you feel?" A different man in a lab coat asked.

I used my power on him to gain more knowledge I hadn't covered of this world. I learned that I was present in a hospital, a place where the unhealthy come to doctors, nurses, and other health specialists to recover. Immediately, I commanded him to change my diagnosis to amnesia, the partial or total loss of memory. With my remaining magic left I learned everything there is to know about living as a human being, from ID's to expenses, to coverage and more. Everything associating modern lifestyle, language, transportation, and technology I had already gained information from my own research including help from Crestia. The last action I used my magic with was to cover any unusual tracks of evidence that I was extraterrestrial. Once I put the doctor asleep, I ordered an embassy worker to receive my ID. I finally returned, exhausted. But I managed to empty out a considerable amount of magic so there was little to none left to detect but just enough for emergencies.

"It says you have amnesia. What is the last thing you can remember?" the doctor awakens.

"A man." I reply sleepily.

"Which man? Do you mean the one who brought you here?" He went through his papers. "Lets see, Sadao Maou? Does that ring a bell?"

"Yes. I think I remember going to him, but I seem to have forgotten the purpose for going. Possibly, he could help me." He turned to his papers again. I immediately thought of a new plan to survey the devil and his generals. Perhaps my troublesome headache from traveling could do me an advantage.
