Y/N ran through the nether portal, carrying a bulky bag. I ran to catch up with them, still feeling like something was wrong. I felt bad for leaving Tommy, but I could tell Y/N was up to no good. I watched them running over various bridges and to the nether fortress. My eyes widened as I watched the teenager place down TNT, laughing by the looks of it.
"Y/N!" I called out, watching the kid lay down the last of the TNT. They glanced up at me, then pulled out flint and steel, trying to light the TNT. I started running faster over to them, watching them try to light the explosives quicker. A spark, followed by a massive explosion. I cried out as the explosion hit me, throwing me back. I slammed against the wall and fell straight down to some lava. Glass hit my back just before I hit the bubbling lava, and found that the lava didn't hurt me. I swam up, gasping for air just as more explosions went off. I had to dive back under, emerging a little later to see the entire nether completely destroyed. I pulled myself out of the lava and used an enderpearl to get back to the portal, which so happened to be where Y/N was, covered in gunpowder and debris and burns from the explosions.
"Y/N." I said, reaching out to grab them. "Why did you just ruin the nether?"
Y/N looked up at me. "You wouldn't understand, Sam. Don't touch me." They shrugged my hand off them. I broke the portal before they could go through.
"Y/N, I might not understand but you can still talk to me. What's going on?"
Y/N started digging through their bag, probably for more obsidian to repair the portal. "Nothing, Sam. I just got bored." Their voice cracked at the end, and they looked at me. I could see the sadness in their eyes.
I held my arms out, silently offering them a hug. They blinked. "Are you going to try kill me too?" They asked, stepping back.
"What? No, Y/N, I would never try to kill you," I said, staying where I was. "Why would I try to kill you?"
"Everyone I hug does. Dream, Technoblade... I don't want to be murdered by someone I trust..." they glanced behind themself, realising they were at the edge of the platform.
I backed away to give them more room. "You don't have to hug me or anything, it's alright. Can you just explain to me why you just ruined the nether?" I asked gently.
Y/N looked at me, then tried to stand taller, then started crying, hugging themself.
They calmed down a little, and said, "Go away, Sam. I don't want your pity."
I stayed silent, watching them.
"Leave me alone, Sam." Y/N wiped away their tears and pulled out obsidian, fixing the portal. Technoblade came through the portal that very second, causing Y/N to shriek in surprise and jump back. "T-Techno!" They yelled, pulling out their sword. While they were distracted, I slipped through the portal to go find Sapnap and some others, going to ask them for help or something.
Technoblade
"Y/N, please let me explain!" I begged, looking down at the teenager.
"You tried to kill me twice!" They yelled.
"And you just blew up the nether! Please give me a minute to explain!"
Y/N wasn't having none of that, and kept yelling. "Come near me and I'll stab you! I know you don't care about me as much as you care about Tommy so leave me alone!"
"Y/N, YOU'RE LIKE A SIBLING TO ME!" I yelled, making Y/N freeze. "Y/N, I'm sorry and I didn't mean to do what I did or say what I said!"
"R-Really?" They asked. I reached out to pull them into a hug, but then a bunch of bozos came in through the portal.
"Y/N turn yourself over to us with your hands up!" Quackity said through a megaphone.
"What do you want?" Y/N asked, looking at the idiots who just ruined our moment.
"You're to come with us for an execution for destruction of the nether!" Sapnap said, pointing a sword at Y/N.
"You won't be coming anywhere near them," I growled, standing in front of Y/N.
"Yeah, we will, move it or you're going with them." Quackity pointed a sword at me.
Y/N came out from behind me, sword drawn. "Neither of us are going with you, duck boy."
I saw Y/N look up at me, then smile, turning to the group and holding their sword out in front of themself, ready to fight. I drew my own sword, and dove into battle.
