We Break, We Fall
We Heal, We Rise
This phrase is often trivialized by most of the people but ones who go through these stages can only enter into the depth of it's connotative power. I along with 93 more people, are among those. Saying that I and they were 'lucky' to be of those felt a little wrong but was the same case with saying that we were 'unlucky'. Thus, both going simultaneously by side would be better.

The world had reached the stage when one could effortlessly prognosticate that when we all would die and leave this hell on earth. Few would say it was worse than hell. The plague had enveloped the whole world and only few with serendipity or maybe with bad luck had survived, living in different corners of the world. Only 93 and including me, 94 were alive on the face of this once alluring place, Charleston, South Carolina. We were the hapless people, leaving no room for any doubt. This historical city was now embedded with the greatest history of all history. If the situation had been different, we would have felt jubilant for the great honor but the case was something else.

The noises of the busy city were emplaced by the screaming silence. Where there used to be the sounds of car horns, children laughing in the parks at the day time were now replaced by the crying and whimpering sounds of the helpless. At night time, not even these voices could be produced as 'they' crawled at nights. 'They' were the ones who cried out of hunger. They roamed every street, peeked at every corner in search of their food; We. Yes, they were the blood drinking, flesh eating creatures who fed on the sprawled, poor, dead beings. They laid behind the shadows during the day or often slept while on the other hand, had parties at night. Freedom was the greatest party one could enjoy and this one word was always in the corner of every individual's mind here. Although it seemed to be far from coming true and it was something which could only be imagined.

We held our dear lives on just one word which although felt very weak but still was enough to keep us alive; Hope. We hoped to survive through this plague. We hoped that we would be able to fight these infected creatures. We hoped that one day we would be free.

Adding to these hopes, what had made us warriors of the history, was another hope, wish, desire and a strong urge; to finish this plague, these creatures and also the very source of this all. However, the only staunch supporter for this hope was me. The source were the 2nd thing which we all feared. They were known as The Beasts. Simple yet a powerful name that completely portrayed the type of people they were. Yes! People. Like us. Simple human beings but ones with minds like demons. We all knew they were the psychos who started up this plague which eventually wiped out the whole world. Leaving helplessness the only thing. But they underestimated us. Although we lost our loved ones, our lifelines and everything but in return we gained something. Something very strong. We learned how to remain steadfast through all the upside downs. We became warriors and learned how to rely on ourselves. We learned so much that putting them into words won't be able to delineate the lessons we learnt.

We were the warriors who were ready to face our death without any fear. I was ready and waiting for the chance to finish this all, for once and for all, no matter how many desires I would have to seal; money, selfishness, comfort and even love. These were going to bring the light back, soon, wiping out the darkness that had crept into our lives. I was ready with my Sealed Desires.
