Toni pov

Shelby was right last night about letting my mother back in, it was time to let that hurt go

So last night when I got home, me and my mother talked, laughed, cuddled together for the first time since she's been back

I can't lie it feels good to let her back in and to not being afraid that everytime I walk out the house once I come back she'll be gone

"Mom ima be at Fatin's" I spoke

"You always at Fatin's house" she responded

"It's me and my friends hangout spot" I said shrugging

"I understand but I just wanna spend time with you, last night was the first time we bonded in years" she spoke

"Fine mom I'll spend all day tomorrow with you" I said

"Good" she spoke

"Okay ima get going" I spoke walking to the door

"Okay be careful, I love you" she spoke

"I love you too" I spoke causing her to smile, because even though she's my mother, I think the last time I told her I love her is when I was little

I started walking to Fatin house when I received a message from Reagan

Rea❤️: you wanna go 2 da movies 2nite? I kinda wanna see this new movie dats playin

Me: sure

Rea❤️: good🙂

Once I walked inside Fatin's house all my friends greeted me except for Shelby, she just rolled her eyes at the sight of me

I walked over by her and sat down beside her

"Shelby can we talk?" I asked

She rolled her eyes

"I don't wanna talk to you Shalifoe" she spoke calling me by my last name without even looking at me

"So you back to calling me Shalifoe?" I asked

She ignored my question

"Shelby you can't just avoid me all day everyday" I spoke causing her to look at me

"Why not? You did it to me when I ended things with you, why can't I do the same?" I asked

"Because you better than me Shelby" I responded causing her to scoff

She rolled her eyes getting up walking away

I sighed before walking over to the rest of the girls

I sat beside Shelby causing her to stare at me

"Can you not sit by me Shalifoe" she spoke causing the girls to get quiet and look at us

"Sure thing" I said moving from beside her and sitting by Martha

"What's her problem?" Martha whispered

I shrugged

"She's been acting like a bitch all day, maybe Andrew had something to do with that" Martha spoke

I just nodded

The day went by slow, Shelby ignored me all day but threw slick shots at me the whole time, every time I spoke she rolled her eyes

But later Reagan texted

Me- yeah come pick me up from Fatin's
