"ms eleanor? el, are you crying? oh my- what's wrong?" mike asks, concern filling in his voice one he sees el's red and swollen eyes

el chuckles sadly, "i'm in my feels and i want to talk." she pouts, "i'm lying here on my bed thinking about life and i was like what if my attempt worked? if that happened so much wouldn't have and i wouldn't have met you and i never would have got over my problems. maybe i even wouldn't have met will!" she exclaims whilst rambling on

"okay, calm down." he stops her, "you need to take a breath because you're basically crying over nothing here."

"i know that! but... life would've ended so much differently if i actually died. if i was still a suicidal person i-i would be just different. everything would be so different. my dad would probably be... god i can't even think about it and will would probably have a different best friend." she sighs out and then groans

"but el. that wasn't how things turned out. it turned out so differently." he smiles softly

"i-i know that!" she exclaims with a sniffle as he chuckles at her, "it's just so scary to think that everything would end up so differently."

"okay." he nods

"n-not okay!" she exclaims

"el, you're worrying about nothing. look, life didn't turn out that way. you survived and got better and met will and went through other challenges then met me. see, it ended up like this and not that." he tells her

"yeah but what if it did end up like that?" she asks

"it didn't." he stops her as she sighs

"i would go on but fine, you win. i'm crying over nothing." she mumbles, laying down on her bed

"yes." he nods

"so, what time are you arriving tomorrow?" she asks, changing the subject and wiping her tears at the same time

he smiles, "early. 12, maybe."

"ooh, yes! then we can eat lunch together!" she smiles excitingly

"yes!" he laughs

"w-wait, are you going to lie to your mom again?" she asks, laying on her side as he shakes his head

"i told her where i went after last time. yelled at me for 10 minutes and then it was fine." he shrugs softly as she giggles

"so she knows where you went?" she asks

he nods, "and that i now have a very hot girlfriend." he smirks
