it was a cozy morning, temperature was not too hot and not too cold for the wheelers household. it was just right.

both mike and el was sleeping peacefully on their double king sized bed, arms wrapped around each other and breathing softly.

"mommy! mommy, i'm awake!" a girl shouts as el slowly flutters her eyes open, "lindt is too!"

"hmm, mike. wake up." el mumbles into her pillow, slapping mike on the back tiredly, "get your ass up, dipshit."

he groans, sitting up and checking the time, "it's 10! what are they doing up?" he lays back down

"i don't know. but one day.... one day they'll sleep through the day like me." she stands up, slipping on her slippers and grabbing her robe

she puts it on quickly with a yawn and walks towards their 3 and 4 year olds bedroom.

"hey... morning." she smiles softly, walking over to open their curtains, "how'd you guys sleep?" she then walks over to their bed

they were still small and they were both sharing a king sized bed. both el and mike decided to give them their own rooms when they both turn 8.

"great dreams, mommy!" valencia gives her a thumbs up as she giggles

"okay, up and at it guys. get ready for breakfast, do you guys need me to dress you?" el asks as they both shake their heads

"okay. call me if you guys need help then." el gives both of them a kiss on the forehead before walking out of the room and back to hers

"mike, wake up. even our kids are up, can you be a good role model for once?" she asks, sitting on the edge of the bed

he hums, pulling her down on top of him as she shrieks, "morning princess." he kisses her

"6 years and still with the princess crap every morning. come on, get up before i wake you up with that way." she slaps his back softly before standing up and walking downstairs to make breakfast

"eggs, milk." she mutters under her breath, grabbing the ingredients and turning on the stove

she cracks the eggs, putting it in the stove then adds the milk.

"scramble eggs, my favourite." mike walks up to her, hugging her from behind as she smiles softly

"i know." she says softly as he kisses her neck

"help set the table?" she asks as he nods

"definitely." he smiles, turning around to grab some utensils and plates

"oh.. orange juice by the way." she adds

"i know, el. they're my children, how would i not?" he chuckles as she rolls her eyes playfully

"oh i'm sorry, i thought that every morning when you are cuddled up in bed and i wake the kids up, you wouldn't know what type of beverages they drink on different days." she says sarcastically as he laughs

"ah, i love you." he shakes his head, finishing setting up the table just in time for valencia and lindt to arrive in the dining room
