Baptism

And Son then took the sins of man
To die on cross for fathers plan.
In groaning pain he laid for time
Committing neither sin nor crime

But still like thief on cross he laid
For crimes of others, Christ now paid.
Then gasping loud and crying out
His life now ebbed with final shout.

And God as man was slain on tree
That day when even angels grieved.
In tomb the sins did go with God
Into the earth on which we trod.

For time the grave did hold the pair
On deep they lay in stony lair.
But tombs aren't made to hold divine
And tenuous grasp was broke in time.

And Christ did rise when day had came
To prove to world his Godly claim.
Becoming master over death
That none again are left bereft.

But only Christ emerged from grave
In depths of hades sins still lay.
So all who follow God now die
When down in stream our bodies lie.

Like man whose buried out as sea
As king of kings demands as fee.
Inside of Christ with sins we die
And like our Lord alone we rise.
