WARNINGS: Accidental and intentional misgendering, sensory overload
Wanna know a dynamic that I am very soft for? The Jirou family. We've seen them for only like 5 minutes but they are so perfect, plus I could fit in nonbinary Kyouka with anxiety/SPD."Kyou, c'mon we'll be late!" A voice shouted up the stairs.
"Coming dad!" The teen shouted back, stuffing the last few things in their bag and nearly tripping down the stairs. Their mom snickered at them for it, to which they stuck their tongue out jokingly as they walked to the car.
Class 1-A had decided to meet up, students and parents alike, and the Jirou's were one of the first to accept. They always wanted their child's happiness above all else, and seeing how much they enjoyed being at UA, even with all that had happened that year, they were more than willing to let them hang out. They were always a homebody growing up, sensory issues and social anxiety being major factors to them, and Kyoutoku and Mika were glad to see them have close friends (and tease them about their obvious crush on the class' vice president). They also wanted to see the Kaminaris again; they'd met while Mika was still pregnant, and Denki was only a month or so old, and had been close friends ever since. Even after the electric family moved a city away, the kids stayed close friends and were overjoyed to be going to school together again (Denki always said how the dorms made them practically neighbors again).
The Yaoyorozus had offered to hold the meet up in their back garden, so they had just over an hour's drive. Kyouka, as always, had the whole backseat to themself, and enjoyed watching the countryside fly by as they got further and further away from the cities. They'd been to Yaomomo's house before, but it still amazed them when they came up to the large estate. A maternal-looking woman met them as they pulled up, the Todoroki's following not long after (they were glad to note that it seemed Shouto only brought his sister; Endeavor was always loud and intimidating, and brought up too many bad memories, and judging by Shouto's reaction to him he wasn't a hero in anything but career). The woman introduced herself as Eiko, Yaomomo's nursemaid, and instructed them how to get through the house to where the other guests were.
"That girl, she's the singer from the show you guys put on, right?" They heard a soft voice say, obviously coming from Shouto's sister.
"They were, yes."
"Ah, apologies." Kyouka smiled at the easy acceptance. Their classmates were always fully ready to correct anyone on any of their pronouns, and they were glad that Shouto's sister was so accepting, especially since they knew the temperature user was questioning his own gender. Mika seemed to have heard the conversation, too, and initiated conversation with the strangers.
"Hello, I'm Jirou Mika, Kyouka's mom, and this is Kyoutoku. We're so glad to meet some more of our child's classmates, and their families!"
"Todoroki Fuyumi, ma'am, Shouto's sister. Your dau-child sang beautifully in the festival."
"Thanks," they mumbled out, shooting a glare at Shouto as he snorted at their shyness (since the impromptu group of trans and questioning kids came together, he was much more easygoing with the class).
"So, it's just you two coming?" Kyoutoku asked. Fuyumi shot him a wary glance, and he immediately relaxed into a more easygoing pose (he could read Kyouka damn well if he picked up on that from a stranger) to seem less threatening.
"Natsuo, our brother, is in med school and has exams coming up, so he couldn't make it, and father is... busy."
"Your brother is becoming a doctor?! You know, I went to med school as well, I'm certain I can find my old textbooks so you don't have to buy new ones."
