This week was going to end explosively, that much they knew for certain.

Class 1-A had noticed that their resident Hot Head and Pure Boy #3 (numbered alphabetically) were getting along better than usual the past week and a half, and most of them left it at that; that they were growing up. The "Bakusquad" and "Izucrew," as well as their homeroom teacher, seemingly had been the only ones to notice the change in behavior as well; they acted more like they did at the beginning of the year. Midoriya was more anxious and curled in on himself, and Bakugo was more brash and had a shorter temper. The groups tried to help their friends, but to no avail, and since they were both getting along better with each other they just hoped that they were going to each other for help.

Shouta knew full well why the sudden change in behavior. It was a private case, dealt with mostly in the underground, so very few of the other staff knew the full story, but he had worked on a case with the same group of villains before, so he knew more of the details.

He knew about Midoriya Inko being taken as a hostage in a robbery at a nearby hospital (yes, they were so desperate for drugs that they robbed a hospital), and how she did not get out of the situation, instead working to save one of her patients. He knew about Bakugo Masaru being stuck in a building in another crime, where a bomb had been set off and the building came down, with him inside of it. He knew that the two were now in the custody of Bakugo Mitsuki, a strong woman that both of the boys obviously respected (he had been worried when he came for the interview before the dorms, but upon the move in their bickering was accompanied with twin devil-grins and exasperated smiling from Masaru and the Midoriyas), but she was dealing with plenty of grief herself from losing her husband and best friend within the span of two days, and he knew the boys well enough, after so much happening this year, that they would do everything in their power to not "bother" the woman. He had just hoped that they would go to somebody else; All Might, Best Jeanist, himself, if not their friends. But it seemed this hope was fruitless, and he knew nothing would come out of this until they couldn't hold back any longer.

And that day arrived Friday; he found the two sitting in a window seat in silence at the school library during lunch hour. He'd heard mention that they hadn't went to the cafeteria, so he was glad to see they were okay and not off being reckless.

"Well well well, if it isn't 1-A's mutt, and the little bitch too. Think you're all that because of your quirks, huh?" An unfamiliar voice spoke up, likely one of the management kids. He was about to go over and reprimand them, but the greenette's words stopped him in his tracks.

"Wow, you came all the way here for some elementary level taunting. Grow the fuck up, we didn't do anything to you." His voice was monotone, and he still stared blankly out the window.

"The hell you just say to me punk?" The kid reached over and harshly grabbed Midoriya's shoulder, as Shouta caught the attention of the librarian and motioned her to get the kid's homeroom teacher.

"Clean your ears out," the blond replied, voice harsh but, like Midoriya's, bland in comparison to how it normally was, "I heard him just fine and I'm deaf."

"Wow, they let a cripple into the hero course?" Both boys flinched at the slur, and Midoriya's voice dropped to a lethal growl.

"The hell did you just call him?"

The kid seemingly panicked and decided to dig himself a deeper grave. "A fucking cripple, didn't you hear? What, you gonna go home and cry to your mommy?"

Wrong thing to say. The kid and Shouta both saw the second that they snapped, that their walls fell down and all of their feelings ran out like a flood. It seemed almost as if they switched bodies, for Bakugo backed up against the wall, curled up, and started sobbing loudly and harshly, while Midoriya stood up and started yelling obscenities at the kid. He reached out and punched him, luckily without his quirk activated, but as he pulled back to do it again he lost control and lightning, red like before he could control it, sparked off his skin.
