I gaze at the world upon me
I smile at just how much beauty
Can be drawn from a place
That can be so uglyI am not and will never
Be a so-called optimist
But after so much rain
Clouds run out of mistDepression and anxiety
Can push you into the dirt
But it was my choice to
Either get up or stay hurtWhen you're laying face down
You can stand on your feet
And look up at the sky
Or be buried in defeatLife is a relentless storm
Full of unpredictability
But making my own path
Will bring me serendipityThe paths of others
Are not for me to follow
They have only made me
Feel cold and hollowMy world is wonderful
For nothing it lacks
I have found infinite colors
In the darkest blacksI've learned to love
I've grown to smile
My world is fantastic
So come stay for a while🌍
