                                              👩🧑👱‍♂️👱‍♀️
                          People my age think 
I'm stuck up
I'm rude
I'm a know-it-all
But they don't understand.
I don't know how to talk
To the people my age.
I'm afraid of their stares.
I'm afraid of their thoughts.
I'm afraid of them.
Sometimes they're nice
But then I assume
They have a motive
Hidden from view.
I'm terrified still
To let them in
Because they're shallow
And childish 
Just to me, not to you.
I'd rather be alone with myself
With no teenagers who think I'm a "thot"
I can't illustrate my words 
For them to understand.
I feel older than them. 
Like a grandparent with children.
So I sit silently in my seat
I don't interact with them
I was raised differently
From people my age.
