I'm curious about people. That's the essence of my acting. I'm interested in what it would be like to be you ~ Merly Streep

The headache slowly creeping was the strong indication of how much I drank the night before. I slowly got out of bed and opened the curtains letting the sun stream into the room. There was noise coming from the living room so I assumed Bailey and Kaili were awake. Sure, enough Kaili was in the living room watching a show on tv with a mug of coffee. I made myself a cup before joining her on the sofa.

"I am never drinking like that again." I whined as I sat beside Kaili. She looked equally as bad as I, "Bailey already left?"

"Yeah she had a session at the studio but I think she will be back later. She's fighting with her boyfriend as usual and when she does, she always sleeps here." Kaili informed me removing her focus from the tv to me.

"You guys must be close then." I stated.

"You can call it that but I always want more from her but she's never ready to commit." She finally confessed, confirming what I suspected, "Bailey always insists she's straight but every time she comes over, we end up having sex. But she'll wake up in the morning and claim it was the alcohol or it was a mistake. Do you make a mistake for almost six months?"

I placed my cup down and pulled her into a tight hug, "Talk to her. Tell her how you feel, if she doesn't feel the same then maybe you should let go of her. There are so many girls out there who would die to be with you." I assured her.

"Thank you Aya. I'll talk with her soon. Lemme just let her sort things out with that boyfriend of hers. I hate him so much." She went on to complain about her situation for a few more minutes. It was such an unfortunate state that they were in.

We spent the morning hours watching aimless shows on tv. I was waiting eagerly by phone for my agent's call. Every minute that passed I thought the producers found someone else to play the character I auditioned for. Kaili tried her best to encourage me to look on the positive side. She was sure Hillary would call me but I wasn't so sure myself. Just as I was debating with myself my phone began ringing.

It was Hillary.

"You got a call back Ayana." Hillary said once I picked up, "You know what that means?"

"A call back? Can this mean I can actually get the part?" I asked.

"Yes, I knew you could do this. So, it's just the same script, they just want to see you read again so just be at the studio tomorrow by eleven. I'm proud of you Ayana, I will see you tomorrow."

I looked back at Kaili who was looking at me with excitement and surprise. "I will. Thank you so much Hill." I told her then hanged up the phone. The minute I kept the phone down, Kaili pulled me into a bear hug.

We did a little celebration dance around the room. I couldn't hold in my excitement as I talked to my mum about the call back. Her voice was full of pride. When I decided to go into acting, she has always been my number one fan. Driving me to auditions, attending every theatre act I had. She always supported every decision I made with regard to acting. I held back on telling my friends until I was sure I had gotten the part.

I spent the afternoon rehearsing with Kaili until we were sure I had completely nailed it down. We both had shifts at the club so we left together. I just waiting to see Leon's face when I tell I got a call back. Even though I didn't get the part, this is one thing worth celebrating. I got changed into my uniform and skipped my way to the bar. Leon wasn't there yet so I had to arrange the bar and the register, which was what he always did. Our usual customers were already at the bar. They always tipped well so I tended to them immediately. As I was serving another customer, Leon decided to grace us with his presence.
