Touring the campus took much longer than you had anticipated. There was lots to see, and the twins got distracted a lot. Before you knew it, it was time for lunch.

"It's lunch time and we're not even halfway through the tour yet!?" Aether shouted, pointing an accusatory finger at his sister. "This is your fault! You talk too much!"

Lumine's hand was still holding yours, and you felt her grip get tighter. "My fault? You're the one who insisted on stopping in every class to get her textbooks!"

"She needs those!"

"We could have gotten them afterwards!"

"G-Guys-" You tried, but they were too busy shouting at each other to hear your soft voice.

"Lumine! Aether!" You heard an assertive voice shout. With your free hand, you reached up and clutched the strap of your bag tightly. Somehow, it comforted you.

Upon hearing the voice, both Aether and Lumine stopped yelling and straightened their postures.

"Aha, hey Jean." Aether said to the girl you now noticed was approaching you. She was tall, and she seemed very professional. From the way she carried herself, you felt like she was important.

"What have I told you guys? If you want a chance to get on student council, you need to behave. You can't just yell in the hall like this!" She crossed her arms. "Especially when we gave you the task of showing around the new girl. This is your chance to prove yourselves, guys! Don't blow it."

The two bowed their heads in shame. Finally, Lumine let your hand free.

"We're sorry, Jean." Lumine said.

"Very sorry." Aether chimed in.

Jean shifted her gaze to you, giving you a small smile. "Sorry about the two of these rascals. They're good kids, but they can be a bit... extra. I'm Jean, it's nice to meet you."

You couldn't help but laugh. She had a point. Aether and Lumine were interesting, to say the least. "It's nice to meet you too, Jean. I'm Y/n."

"You three should get to lunch. You don't want to keep Amber waiting. She's excited to meet you too, Y/n."

This time, Aether grabbed your hand. "We'll take her to the cafeteria right away, Jean!"

"See you later!" Lumine grabbed your other hand after waving to Jean.

You had to admit, this was not how you expected your first day at Mondstat High to go. These twins were kind, caring, and sweet. Though, you were starting to realize that they had a mischevious side to them as well. Jean seemed nice, and responsible too. You couldn't imagine her having the same mischevious side that the twins did.

You were led into a large cafeteria, filled with circular tables that seated eight students. This huge room combined with the twins holding your hands was really starting to overwhelm you. The fear about Mondstat began to sink onto you once again.

"This is the cafeteria." Aether said. "We'll walk you through the lunch line then take you to our table."

"But the tables only fit eight students, are you sure I'm not intruding...?"

Lumine laughed. "You're cute, Y/n. I know we may seem like the coolest people ever--"

"Because we are." Aether interrupted.

"But we're not really all that popular. Usually it's just the two of us and Amber that sit at our table."

"Oh..." You let the two of them take you through the lunch line. Even the food here was prestigious. Ad your old school, they would serve chicken nuggets and macaroni on a good day. Here, the cooks have you large cuts of what they called Sticky Honey Roast. You grabbed a few side dishes and a drink before following the twins to their table.

They had said that normally they only ate with one other person, Amber, but by the time you got there, three students were sat there. You couldn't tell what they were talking about, but when you sat down, all eyes were on you.

"Kaeya, Lisa, to what do we owe the honor of your presence?" Aether asked. He didn't seem angry, it was more of an amused tone. You wondered what was happening.

The one you assumed was Lisa smiled at him, twirling a finger in her hair. "Oh Aether, do you not enjoy our company?" She was blonde with a purple rose in her hair. She was pretty, but her tone made you feel awkward. Was she trying to flirt with him?

"Normally you're too good for us." Lumine answered, crossing her arms.

She earned a chuckle from the one you guessed was Kaeya. You were enthralled by his long blue hair that was tied into a ponytail that hung off of his shoulder. And... was that an eyepatch?

"Oh come now, you know we don't really think like that. We just like to eat with other council members, is all." Kaeya responed. His voice was silky smooth, and you couldn't help but notice that the first vew buttons of his uniform were left unbuttoned. You forced yourself to turn away.

"Guys. Please. I just want to eat." The other girl said. She wore a red bow in her long brown hair. She stared hungrily at her sticky honey roast, her fork prodding it every few seconds.

She must be Amber. You thought to yourself.

"Right, sorry about that." Lisa chuckled, patting Amber's head. "I know how much you love sticky honey roast."

"We're just curious with how our beautiful new student is doing. It is part of our job." Kaeya said, smirking at you. You felt your face heat up again.

"I can handle it," Amber said, stabbing her roast with her fork again. "I'm a part of the council too."
