Hopping out of the shower you wiped the steam off of the mirror to take a good look at yourself. Funny how you had never been nervous before to go undercover for a case, but then again you never had to go this undercover especially with Jason of all people.

The two of you are complicated, messy, and above all way too stubborn. Combing your wet hair back with your fingers you walked out of the bathroom and headed towards your wardrobe. Flipping through clothes you heard a knock at your door. "It's Jason." Your eyes widened. "Are you ready yet?"

"No, not really." You rubbed your eyes and sat at the edge of your bed. Before you knew it he swung open the door without hesitation.

You stood up and held onto your towel tightly. "That wasn't an invitation to come inside." He leaned against the doorway with a smug look painted across his face.

"Is that what you're wearing?" He crossed his arms and looked you up and down, slowly admiring that you only had a towel wrapped around you.

His outfit was surprisingly not bad. He had a black button up on, except the first three buttons were undone, and half of his chest was peaking through. Along with black satin pants and leather shoes.

"Stop staring at me. I know I'm breathtaking." You scoffed and turned away focusing back on your wardrobe. "Oh come on say something, anything."

"I have nothing to say to you. Now, get out so I can finish getting ready." You knew he was speechless by his lack of words, and that's saying a lot about him.

You started to feel a bit guilty, but you had no other choice. It's not like the two of you would actually work, because in what perfect world does someone get to be with the person they want?

"I'll be downstairs." Before you could speak up he slammed your door shut.

Letting out a deep breath you sighed. "Tonight should be fun." Rolling your eyes you managed to pick an outfit that was kind of perfect for the occasion.

It was a silky black dress with a side slit, a bit short, but it was manageable. Quickly throwing it on you grabbed a pair of heels and slipped into those, but as uncomfortable as they were they did make the outfit come together. Drying your hair you fixed it up to be fluffy with a few loose strands, even did a little bit of makeup to really sell the disguise.

Taking a glance at your jewelry box you spotted the golden locket Jason had given you many moons ago, back when everything wasn't so complicated and messy.

You walked downstairs to be greeted by Dick, Bruce, and Jason all standing around the front door. "Wow." Dick was looking you up and down in amazement. "You look great out of uniform." Tucking a few strands behind your ear you rolled your eyes playfully.

"Since we're going to a nightclub I figured why not go all out?" Jason's jaw clenched as he drank in the sight of you. You didn't notice, but he was filling with huge envy right now that all of your attention was towards Dick. That was until he saw what was dangling around your neck and smiled to himself.
