It had been quick, easier for Kai to heal with Sol around to heal him, the magic she possessed was always so much more than simply tricks and spells. She had easily healed him from the inside out, he had only been bedridden for 2 days tops, having sworn he could have been up in a few hours. Though with Sol never letting him out of her sight, with a smile and a serious look on her face, Sol always got her way when it came to Kai.

"I can stand, I can run, I am in perfect health, you said so yourself, little one." Kai moved in a small circle around the woman who stood there, arms folded across her chest, trying not to crack a smile. "You're an amazing healer."

"I swear," Sol just shook her head, raising her hands in defeat. "Fine, you can come to a meeting, but you are not going on any missions with me or anyone. Do you agree?"

Sol held her hand out towards Kai, who eagerly took it; "I agree. Unless it's too dangerous then I will be right behind you like I always am."

Before Sol could say anything, Kai was running out of the room that was now his, running through the halls of the mountain with a laugh. Sol followed Kai, like she always has, running after the once boy who was now a man, some semblance of normality in a world like the one they once lived in. She would call for him, a laugh in her own words as they still continued to run towards where the meeting would be held. Kai had followed her the last two days and already knew which way he was supposed to go, he had overheard the next mission, wanted to be in on it, even if Sol was against it.

"Hey," Sol finally caught up to the Dragon, who now leaned against the wall just next to the door they were to go in. "You cheated. You always cheat."

"I have never cheated." Kai laughed, taking the soft impact of Sol's fists hitting him a few times. "You've always been slow."

"Take that back." Sol stared up at Kai, wide eyed. "I'm not slow."

"As powerful as you are, you still have human legs." Kai smiled a toothy grin, his hands behind him, holding him against the wall, mischief running though his eyes.

"I am powerful." Sol nodded, poking Kai's chest. "And you better not forget that."

"Alright, Sol, leave Kai alone." Her mother, who Kai had noticed quickly that Sol had outgrown, and yet she still wore the bright yellow glasses, put her hands on Sol's shoulders. "I thought you said he still had some healing to do. So why are you being mean to him?"

"Yeah, Sol, why are you being so mean to me?" Kai dramatically clutched his chest.

"Well if he's still in healing then he needs to go back to bed." Sol tried not to laugh as she watched Kai try to think of some way to get her back.

"Is that son of mine giving you a headache again, Sol?" Kai's father, a gentleman who always wore a three-piece suit with cowboy boots, a smoke pipe always in his hands or breast pocket, laughed as he came out of the meeting room. "You have permission to put him in line."

"Dad..." Kai looked almost hurt at his father's words, even as he allowed his father to take his son into his arms.

"Come on you two, time for a meeting." Kai's father guided Kai into the already crowded room.

Kai was welcomed into the room, everyone around the room wanting to shake the hands of a living, walking, breathing relic. Sol could tell there was a little discomfort from all the attention on Kai, watching him show a little more awkwardness as they fawned over him. With a small laugh, covered by her hand, Sol moved towards Kai, taking him by the arm as she smiled at all the older officials of the rebellion.

"I'm sure you can all talk to Kai after," Sol gave a pleasant smile with a small nod. "Though I'm sure we have a briefing right now."

With Sol's words, and gesture towards Ver who stood at the front of the large room, screen behind him on as he nodded towards Sol. The group around them moved to their seats, Kai sending Sol a smile of thanks before they both took a seat in the back together. Kai waited for Sol to sit around the table first, taking the seat to her left, like he always did, before his attention was taken by the soldier who helped him escape.
