This is raichu's pokedex entry in Ultra Moon, in the same region Mimikyu debuted in. Raichu also becomes more aggressive after it evolves. Do you think that raichu gains resentment towards its pre-evolution because trainers liked it more? I say that this is a possibility.
When a raichu dies, it becomes the hideous and aggressive ghost mimikyu and instead of trying to look like a raichu, it tries to look like its pre-evolution to make friends and go back to the days where it was loved for its appearance. Honestly I found this to be an extremely shocking discovery. To me this theory, which I believe is invented by me makes more sense than porygon or clefairy. Instead...mimikyu is a raichu that wants to look the way it used to be.
