These are seriously just pokemon I think look similar, and look like they could evolve into one another.
Hoothoot and Claydol

While there isn't much connection, and they don't even have the same type, I have always found these two to be eerily similar. Hoothoot always looked weird to me because it looks like it has one foot. Well what if it evolved into a levitating, clay-doll owl that could see you 360 degrees around? Owls can actually do that (well almost). These two's eyes and beaks just look so similar that I always thought they should be in the same evolution chain.
