Anastasia POV

I woke up extra early to get ready for the day. I was hoping to avoid as many students as possible and just sit in the library or something. Once I was dressed I grabbed my things and quietly left the dorm so I didn't wake anyone up.

As I was making my way out of the common room the woman in the portrait began to complain about being woken up

As I was making my way out of the common room the woman in the portrait began to complain about being woken up.

"I'm sorry Miss."

"Why you look just like-"

"Lily Evans?" I asked softly and she smiled

"Precisely, what's got you up this early my dear?" She asked happily upon seeing my face

"Going to the library to study. Maybe find an interesting book to read." I smiled

"Just like your mother, well I won't keep you. Enjoy the library." She smiled happily before closing her eyes and going back to sleep

I'd been in the library for around three hours when McGonagal came in and sat in front of me.

"You've missed breakfast." She whispered handing me two pieces of toast wrapped in a napkin

"Thank you." I mumbled softly as I took them finally meeting her eyes after a moment

"What is that you're reading?" She asked softly probably trying to figure out away to get me to talk to her

"If you'd like to know how I'm handling things Professor, please just ask. But if you really are interested it's advanced transfiguration I thought it'd be a good read." I mumbled and she nodded with a sigh

"Anastasia I know it's a lot to take in but you do have classes you'll need to attend today."

"Professor with all do respect, I'd rather not be the new object of everyone's entertainment. But seeing as your right. I'll go to class. I believe I have Herbology anyway." I shrugged putting my books away and grabbing my bag. I quickly placed a cherry flavored lollipop on the table in front of McGonagal before grabbing my school robe and making my way out of the library as I ate the toast she'd brought me.

My day was worse than I imagined it would be and it wasn't even lunch time yet.

I received looks everywhere I went and people were whispering about me like crazy.

I successfully managed to avoid all of my brothers, Weasley and Potter alike as well as all of my friends. It was a bit harder in classes but I really just didn't want to talk about it. Of course I'd known for awhile that I was a Potter but when others didn't I could pretend it wasn't true. But now that the whole wizarding world knew, I just wanted to pretend for a bit longer. I mean come on I just found out the not only is my life some sort of famous dark lord killing story but my parents are dead on top of that?! It was a lot to take in, and at just 11.
