Filler chapters are sometimes Drabble! I'm aware, but sometimes you need one to prolong the plot and book.
And it brings in some comedic relief to the book!
But don't make it irrelevant to the plot!!!
Try to tie in some character development!
For example:
A romance book: you could add a chapter where character A is doing something they love and character B notices and tries to do it too to impress them!
Rivals book (maybe even some subtext enemies to lovers): The enemy is trying to think about the next great plan to impress the hero and its a montage of brain storming?
You get the idea...
Do what fits with the plot and the characters!
Unless the book is completely OOC
