december 24th means only one thing in bts dorm: christmas party. it has now become a tradition for us to celebrate christmas eve all together in the big living room of our dorm, waiting for the midnight to be the first to wish eachother "merry christmas", eating fried chicken, ramen and playing funny games.
last year we ended up sleeping all together in a single bed, after playing truth and dare, finished with me receiving a lap dance from a completely drunk jimin.
this year we promised to take it easy with alcohol, even if i still doubt about that, considering the complaints of yoongi, taehyung and jimin, who were already looking forward to drink their favorite bottles of liquors and wine to celebrate the winter holiday.
the year that just arrived at an end has deeply changed all of us. we had grown up and opened our eyes even more to the importance of being there for each other.
during these last months we weren't able to perform, to bring to our fans the love and the gratitude that we all feel towards them. i miss seeing the army bombs shifting left and right at the melody of our songs, and i miss even more the excitment that spreads inside me everytime i walk up the stage holding my mic.
having the members around me undoubtedly helped me to "feel safe" also in this period.
before joining bangtan, i've never celebrated christmas. ever since i was little, my father and my mother have always been busy with work, my mother was always away to shoot movies, while my father was abroad to keep an eye on one of his various projects.
my siblings and i often ended up staying at home alone, even forgetting about the christmas day until it was too late to do or organize anything.
when my older brother moved to germany, my second older brother and i found ourselves alone, spending christmas night eating cup ramen and watching dramas.
i found this day to be a normal day of the week. nothing more.
or at least until i became part of the bts family.
i still remember my surprise when, even before our debut, taehyung came to wake me up on christmas morning with a santa claus hat and a big rectangular smile.
and i was even more surprised when i received my first christmas gift: vitamin C and christmas socks, which i didn't esitate to wear.
i remember that that day we celebrated christmas, our upcoming debut, and for a wish of a long career together.
i enjoyed myself so much, and in an instant what had been just an ordinary day to me became one of the most awaited days of the year.

jimin and i have been trying to hang up those colourful banners all morning, whose idea was it to give this task to the two shortest people in the group?
on the other side of the room the situation is not much better: yoongi on jungkook's shoulders is trying to put the star on top of the christmas tree that almost touches the ceiling while trying not to fall on it, becoming part of the plant itself.
further down, hoseok is decorating the tree with white and purple christmas balls, concentrating on avoiding to make them fall and break.
the christmas atmosphere can also be felt in the kitchen, where taehyung and jin are preparing vanilla cookies in the shape of snowmans, shooting stars, christmas trees and hearts.
all this is accompanied by christmas carols of all languages played on the stereo next to the sofa, where namjoon is sitting with the phone to his ear, in an attempt to explain to the manager that we want a "half fried half spicy" chicken, and not all "fried", as the manager claimed.
this year i prepared something special for the other members, that i kept a secret until now. i can't wait to see how this will go...

everything is ready, and here we are after a few hours sitting on the sofa wearing eight totally identical pajamas with the figure of a reindeer in the center of the top piece. whose idea was it? taehyung's, who now begged us to take a selfie because "we were too cute".
after faking a smile for the vocalist's sake, i shifted to the armchair next to the sofa, which has become a little too small for all the eight of us. jin probably had my same idea, since he decided to sit on the ground.
"min, open your mouth!" jungkook tells me as he approaches me, some noodles hanging from his chopsticks, trying not to make them fall.
i let him feed me, thanking him still with my mouth full. the older boy smiles at me kindly and goes back to his place after giving me a heart-shaped cookie: it's delicious, jin and tae really did a great job with them.
"guys, i have something to tell you" i say drawing the attention of the guys in front of me "we recently celebrated our seven years of bangtan, and for this very special year i have decided to do something even more special. in the past months you have managed to cheer me up even in the darkest moments, you have been more than a family to me. i wanted to find a way to thank you in some way, so i decided to give you a gift, one for each of you. and now it's time to give them to you. "
"miiiin, it wasn't necessary, just being with us and support us with your music and presence is a gift" exclaims jimin, putting a hand on my shoulder, the other members nodding, sharing the same thought of the short boy.
"don't worry, i know that i didn't need to, but i wanted to. you are so special for me and even preparing those gifts for you made me so happy. please accept them." i explain, looking at the now curious members.
"now you are making me curious, jagiya. ok, let's open them!" exclaimed jin, making the other members giggle.
"let's start with namjoon-ssi..."

hello! meow's here. it has been ages since the last time i updated this story and i am so sorry about that. last year has been kinda...troublesome, due to covid-19 and the lockdown(s) that followed.
bts has helped me a lot during this period, with both their music and their energy, pushing me to do my best, in my everyday life and in school (or better saying, uni).
talking about this book...it has surpassed 150K views and honestly, this is incredible. seeing so many stars, positive comments, and such a big number of people that added this story to their reading list makes me feel so happy and i wanted to show my gratitude updating it.
this chapter was only the intro of a serie of 8 chapters of gifts, one for each member.
i hope that you are looking forward to them, i'll work as hard as possible to bring y'all quick updates.
