Melody's pov

-

Wind waved the tree branches as if in a raucous ballgame celebration

I grow strong against the wind, muscles working all the more as my feet pounded against the grass. It was the freshness over my skin, that which made a fine flag of my tousled hair. In the trees it was a gusting chorus, a song so confidently sung, it also seemed to be the only thing putting me at peace this night

My feet touched sand once again, the tiny grains of sand that felt like salt on my skin. I raised a brow and looked down, seeing that I was met with the familiar beach sand once again

Waves came, transient yet always there, rising, falling. They scatter the light, the hue of the water ever changing yet always familiar

I listen to the soft sizzle and push of it against the fine grained sand that it carried

She brought me here again, but why?

I turned to face her with my brows furrowed, she had placed something over me that sent me mute. I don't blame her, I could be loud sometimes-

Don't go thinking south.

So it must have been best to place whatever alien magic power sorcery over me

But atleast ask for consent next

"Oh" she giggled, bringing her palm up to my head

Her eyes shut and a faint glow came from the center of her palm, burning a bright yellow

I hadn't noticed it before but there was a golden line leading down her forehead, it glowed just as bright as the light on her palm

"What is this place?" I mumbled

"Welcome to Carib" She said

"The Caribbean?" I questioned

"What is Caribbean?" the girl asked, I simply shook my head and turned to face the waves

"Are you an alien?"

"A what?"

"for God sakes" and here I was thinking that my questions would be answered

"Wait. You speak English, why's is that no one else does?" I asked

A heard a small chuckle and a warm feeling rose through my shoulder. I glanced over to see the girl standing beside me, her silver eyes looked out onto the ocean waves that pushed and pulled on the surface

"Many, many years ago a man once washed up on the shore" She said

"Like me?" I asked

"Yes. Just like you" she giggled
"Actually, he looks exactly like you" the girl said, furrowing her brows

My teeth sunk into my bottom lip as I nodded, she must mean that he looked like me since their type didn't resemble most humans

"He said that he crashed on the island, his boat was pulled apart with him in the storm" the woman said, pointing out towards the nightsky

"Storm?" I asked

"From what I've heard, those on the other side witness a storm. That storm is our protection from the outside world and hunters that want to raid and capture our people. He was taken under the same treatments as you, thrown into the dungeon for so long that he forgot his own name. But what my father didn't know was, every single day I'd sneak away from my room and visit him below. He was a kind man, his heart was bigger than anyone I've ever met. It was unfortunate that he had to be put under such treatments. Everyday that I visited him, he'd teach me everything of his world. The people, the food. I've learnt alot from him, especially his language and overtime he also learned ours" The woman said
