The most horrific thing, the man you had loved for over a thousand years who had always been by your side was about to be gone for good.

But watching you stand alone. All of my doubt-suddenly goes away somehow.

As you crept closer, as the sent of blood grew stronger, you began to tremble.

"I have died everyday waiting for you!" You cried out to him, just as he was about to leave your side once more. "Darling don't be afraid, I have loved you for A Thousand Years.." he spoke gently as he held your face close to his, kissing you softly but quickly.

"I'll love you for a thousand more.." You choked out as he laid lifeless in your arms, trembling still.

Its been a few years since the incident, and you were with Zhongli having tea. (Or your drink of choice he just seems like he'd offer tea so💅)
"It's been awhile since you've agreed to come and simply take the time to have tea with me (y/n), what's on your mind?" He spoke in his usual calming voice. You looked to him and sighed. "I miss him, Zhongli.. It doesn't seem right for him to be.. Gone.." His gaze softened upon hearing your words, and he took your hair and brushed it behind your ear. "I know, it's difficult to comprehend the loss of one close to you. But it'll be ok." He said to you with a gentle smile.

The two of you continued to enjoy your tea and talk together, after he had reassured you that Xiao was alright now, and that he wasn't in pain any longer.

You stood on the balcony of Wangshu Inn, gazing out over the sea of clouds in the sky. You smiled and tears threatened to fall down your cheeks. "A thousand years.. If only we'd had more time than that, hm?"

-so xiao's banner is gone😭 Idk why it makes me mad that they gave Keqing a banner when she's already on one- Tbh she seems overhyped to me.. I do love her tho, she's incredible!
