200 years.
That's how long it had been since you'd last seen your beloved, and 200 years since you'd loved anything or anyone.
"It had to be him.." You spoke silently to yourself, being alone in your Serenitea teapot. It had been about 150 years since you'd last seen any of the other adepti, or any archon such as Zhongli. Distain grew for the other immortal being other than yourself, as you knew that they would all meet their end eventually. And you had no desire to witness your other loved ones take their last breaths.
You laid back onto the grass, wondering if you'd ever leave your teapot again. "Maybe one day, when I feel less.. Eugh.." Yeah right. You knew that when you entered your teapot for the first time, you'd never leave. Seeing the outside world, so full of other people living their lives with the people they loved so dearly? It made you sick to your stomach now. You couldn't handle it. There was absolutely no way.
Until Zhongli himself waltzed right into your humble abode.
Being unsure of what to do, you let the god of Geo walk towards you, until he arrived at where you were laying. "Hello, (y/n).." He spoke in that all to familiar, deep and stoic voice. You stared at him in utter shock, unsure of how he found your teapots location in the first place. "It truly has been too long.. 200 years, I believe.." He smiled a gentle smile, and placing his hand overtop of yours to let you know that he really was there. Feeling overwhelmed with confusion, your body jolted upwards as your wrapped your arms around him. It was horrible seeing him again, painstaking, to say the least.
But you had missed him so badly that you, for just a moment, disregarded all the pains you once faced.
"How on earth did you even find the teapot..? I thought I'd hidden it well.." You spoke into his chest, still having your arms around him as you choked out gentle sobs. "It was actually quite easy.. I used my elemental sight, and somehow even after 200 years it was still clear as it could get.. I suppose your lasting anguish is what kept it going." He spoke softly as he brushed your hair as gently as he could, as not to alarm you further. Smiling and looking up at him, the look in his eyes made it all the more obvious that he had longed to see you just as you had him.
"I can't look at you without seeing Xiao.." You spoke in between your tears. He smiled softly before continuing to stoke your hair. "I know, my glaze lily.."
You both walked around the teapot, catching up on everything that you'd missed around the ages that you were absent from Tevayt. He told you all about the Traveler, the overlord of the vortex, and the adventures that he and his newley found friends had encountered. Apparently he even had a husband and a daughter now, who would've thought? (Any guesses to who those two are lol-)
When you both finally settled down and sat in silence for awhile, you'd finally felt something you hadn't in awhile. You suddenly remembered a small moment you had with Xiao only days before he met his end.
"Almost there.." He smiled and lead you to a small clearing on the top of a mountain. Undoing your blindfold and showing you the view, you gasped as your eyes widened. "Oh Xiao, it's beautiful!" You smiled brightly. The last few moments that you spent together, being the most beautiful moments ever.
The last moments of happiness you thought you'd ever have. But sitting with Zhongli, realizing he was still there, that Xiao was still there, you knew you'd be ok.
