It was a cold and stormy night, Viveka was reading letters from her friends. She only received two letters from her two friends. She read the first one:
Dear, Viveka.
How are you? Hope you're having a great day! Anyways, I will not be able to go to your sleepover or talk, I'm going on a holiday trip with my family for a month.
Anyways, stay happy!
Love, Stefanie
She was devastated but she was happy to have a friend like her! It was now eleven in the night, Viveka immediately went to sleep.

While Viveka was waiting for her breakfast to finish she had a daydream where Viveka got her Hogwarts letter. Her breakfast was finished and she ate her breakfast and as soon as she got up the chair, an owl was in front of the window and a letter in its mouth. Viveka's mum took the letter and read it:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Headmistress: Minerva McGonagall (Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorc., Chf. Warlock, Supreme Mugwump, International Confed. of Wizards)
Dear Mrs. Viveka, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31. Yours sincerely, Minerva McGonagall Headmistress.
Her mum began to read the second page:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry UNIFORM First-year students will require: 1.Three sets of plain work robes (black) 2.One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear 3.One pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar) 4.One winter cloak (black, with silver fastenings) Please note that all pupil's clothes should carry name tags. COURSE BOOKS All students should have a copy of each of the following: The Standard Book of Spells (Grade 1) by Miranda Goshawk A History of Magic by Bathilda Bagshot Magical Theory by Adalbert Waffling A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch One Thousand Magical Herbs and Fungi by Phyllida Spore Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander The Dark Forces: A Guide to Self-Protection by Quentin Trimble OTHER EQUIPMENT 1 wand 1 cauldron (pewter, standard size 2) 1 set glass or crystal phials 1 telescope 1 set brass scales Students may also bring and owl OR a cat OR a toad. When Viveka's mum finished reading, Viveka screamed for joy. Her dad was confused in what's happening because he is a Muggle. Her mum began to explain to the dad of what's happening because she is a witch, making Viveka a half-blood. Her dad didn't approve of this and insisted that Viveka goes to a normal School that has no magic. Her mum in the other hand didn't approve that Viveka will go to a normal Muggle school. Viveka's dad ignored them after this.
