you worry the absolute crap out of me, can you just.. not?

"y/n! do you want to be on my team for dodgeball?"

i nodded immediately and went off with yeona, a good friend of mine. i've never been very athletic, but i try my best when it comes to physical education.

ok.. not really.

we went out on the blacktop area and were set into two teams.

oh, hi beomgyu.

he didn't notice me at first due to having a conversation with his friends, but once he spotted me he gave me a goofy smile at which i wheezed.

too bad we're on different teams.

"ok, is everyone ready?" our teacher called.

we all answered back with a quick, "yes!"

and with that, the games had begun.

dodging and throwing sounds.. easy enough?

why don't i just hide behind people until the games are over?

it works.

i surprisingly managed to dodge balls that were thrown towards me, leaving me wondering how.

but only a few minutes into the game, with a small amount of survivors, i just had to ruin the moment didn't i?

"y/n!" beomgyu called.

i spotted him on the other side of the court with a sly smirk on his face.

i'll wipe that smirk off your face in no time.

i did have a ball in my hands at the moment, but it looked like beomgyu had beat me to it.

oh no.

the ball was sent flying my way.

but it didn't touch me..?

although i had to pay for that in some other way.

i didn't actually dodge it. i just slipped on a rock.

imagine slipping on a rock while playing dodgeball. couldn't be me!

oh gosh.

this is embarrassing.

well, at least i managed to wipe that smirk off his face, right?

[ beomgyu's pov ]

y/n definitely wiped the smirk off my face, but it wasn't because she dodged the ball.

gosh, y/n. you idiot.

she slipped and fell on her knee, looking as awkward as ever. would people blame me for that?

y/n sat up and looked at her knee, which was actually just fine. she stood up and wiped herself off, filling me with relief.

you clumsy ass.

i ran up to her and just stood there, wanting to make sure she was okay.

"are you alright, y/n?" the teacher questioned.

y/n nodded and turned to look at me with a smirk.

"hey, at least i dodged it."

her laughter brought a smile to my face as i rolled my eyes playfully.

"just be careful next time, dingus."

y/n slapped my forearm, "says you. watch where you throw your balls, you imbecile."

"you're aware that this is dodgeball, right?" i informed her, "i'm supposed to be throwing them everywhere."

whoops, it looked like we forgot we were in the middle of a game.

"uh- can we get back to the game, lovebirds?" our teacher laughed.

"ew, lovebirds?" y/n and i said simultaneously.

y/n walked back towards her side of the court as she flashed me a smile. i took it as a sign to head back to mine as well.

"never," she scoffed jokingly.

ouch.

i can't fall for her.

we're just friends.

keep it that way, beomgyu.

my good friend, yeonjun, came up to me and whispered softly into my ear with a grin.

"geez, beomgyu. you make it so damn obvious."

i furrowed my brows, "huh?"

he rolled his eyes, expecting me to know what he's talking about.

"we know you like her."
