I hugged her and turned around and to see the door shaking from my dad trying to get inside.

Violet: Okay Indi hold moms hand and follow behind me

Mom: Violet what're you gonna do

Violet: You'll see in a second just wait here

I went upstairs and looked behind my bed for something I hid years ago. I pushed my hand behind boxes and touched what I was looking for. A taser.

I didn't really care who he was to me at this point. Dad or stranger I would do absolutely whatever I could to protect my family.

I walked outside and they started walking behind me. I opened the door and he immediately moved forward but before he could do anything I put the taser in front of me to show him that he wasn't wanted and well, he never will be. My mom and sister ran to the car and I just stood there. He put his hands up saying he surrendered or some shit but I wasn't born yesterday. I knew his moves. He wasn't very slick.

Dad: okay okay don't do that Violet I'm your-

Violet: Don't even say it at this point. Man, I really hate you. We all do. You have a daughter who you've never even met who is terrified of you and you're out drinking and going from house to house to make you happier again. What do they give you that mom never gave you? That we never gave you? Now you're just a homeless lunatic who finally realized that he needed us. Well, that help that you were expecting isn't here.

Dad: I changed Violet

Violet: Yeah you did. Not for the good though. God, you are a mess. Have you looked at yourself lately? You reek. You smell like alcohol and rotten eggs. go showe- oh wait I'm sorry you can't afford to pay your bills. Well, that sucks. Nice talking to you.

I turned around to walk away but he grabbed my wrist.

Violet: Oh you mother fucker you did not just do that

I turned around a stuck the taser on his arm and turned it on. He fell to the ground and screamed in pain.

Violet: I told you to stay away

I walked away and got into the car.

Violet: Woah that felt good

Indigo: You looked like one of those superheroes in movies. IT WAS AWESOME

Violet: I know right

I fist-pumped her and sat back while my mom drove to the airport.

We got there and stepped into the airport. Right when we did, we all looked at each other.

Mom: You guys ready

Violet and Indigo: HELL YEAH

I slapped Indigo's arm
