tw- mentions of blood and self harm

"Dream? What the fuck are you doing here? I- What? How did you even find me? You can't be here you need to lea-"

Dream pulled George into a tight hug, noticing as George flinched at the sudden touch. Small tear drops ran down the smaller boy's face, staining his face further. George didn't hug back. He couldn't move- he was frozen, like a deer in headlights. His mind was running wild, almost loose, he didn't have control anymore.

He couldn't hold it in any longer.

George collapsed into Dream's arms, pulling them both to the floor and melting into the warm hug. For the first time in what felt like forever, George felt...

Safe.

Loud sobs emerged from his mouth as he managed to nuzzle his head deeper into Dream's neck, throwing his arms around his torso at the same time.

Neither dared to talk.

It would ruin the moment.

Instead, Dream drew soft circles around George's back, occasionally reaching up to mess with George's hair. George continued to sob, letting out all of the emotion he had so desperately drowned in.

George was slowly drowning everyday, but no one knew. No one could tell.

That was until now.

Dream saw the blood-stained clothes, he saw the pale skin, the dark circles around his eyes and the deathly-thin figure George owned. He heard his despairing sobs.

Now Dream knew.

He too started to sob, releasing faint tears from the corners of his eyes.

They stayed in that same position for a while, not caring about anything except each other.

Dream realised it all.

George wasn't okay, and Dream would do everything in his power to help him.

No matter what.

-

Eventually, Dream managed to speak.

"Come on Georgie, let's go inside."

No answer.

Dream carefully removed himself from the tight embrace, noticing George was asleep. His eyes were glued shut as considerate tears continued to pour out.

Instinctively, he placed his arms under George's and lifted him from the floor, carrying him into his apartment as George unknowingly wrapped his arms around Dream and let his head rest kindly on Dream's shoulder.

Dream lead the pair to the sofa, placing George down lightly. He scurried to the door, picking up his luggage and steadily shutting it, making sure he didn't wake George up.

"Dream..."

He heard a sad voice call out his name and ran over to the sofa in panic.

Was he okay? Did he over-step his boundaries? Probably.

"Cold..."

Dream instantly pulled off his hoodie, handing it to George.

He was still asleep.

Gently, he lifted the smaller's arms, sliding the over-sized hoodie onto his body. Since it was Dream's, it was too big on him.

Dream couldn't help but smile at the sight.
