Chapter 16 // the letter

Draco'sPOV // September 20th

"my son?" I mumbled as I opened the letter, it had the Malfoy crest... He doesn't talk to me anymore, I opened the letter with trembling hands, it read –

Dear Draco Malfoy

I have received information telling me that you are dating a mudblood? actually, she apparently is a pureblood but if that is true then she is a blood traitor she was also on the opposite side to us in the war. I forbid this, you cannot start dating a girl like her, come to Malfoy manner immediately, it's better to talk in person

WHAT THE HELL, how did he find out? Who told him, no one I know would've told him they're all friends with me and wouldn't ever dare to cross me-

wait... SHE'S DEAD

I stormed out of the dorms and since it was only 11 there were still a few Slytherins awake including her, I approached her and pushed her against the wall like before with my wand to her throat

"Good lord what have I done now"

"you know what you did," I spat

"I told your dad" she answered with a smug look

"why" I don't even know this girl, yet she's still messing up my relationships

"because a respectable family like the Malfoy's shouldn't have their bloodline tainted with the likes of a blood traitor" she sneered

"you should know, I'm worse than my father when it comes to bitches like you" I smirked
"Just because you came onto me and I shut you down Camila, that does not mean you can try and get me disowned and yea I know your name,  me and potter are the top best occlumens and legilimens in the country, so you shouldn't talk to yourself in your head if you don't want me to know your name" she tried getting away but I grabbed her arm and slammed it back against the wall to keep her still
"don't you ever dare try this again, leave me and my girlfriend alone... or else"

she nodded vigorously then I heard "oi Draco c'mon the girls want us" Blaise shouted from behind me I knew he meant red, pans, purple, and 'mione

"ok, I just have to do one thing first" I backed away but still pointing my wand at her "stupefy" she fell to the floor unconscious

"why'd you do that" Blaise asked

"you don't wanna know, c'mon" he took one last glance at the heap on the floor that was Camila before we started walking to Gryffindor tower

"why do we have to meet them this late?" I asked him

"We don't I was just tryna save you from doing something you'll regret"

I scowled at him "I gotta go to Malfoy manor tomorrow"

"why," he asked

"father just wants me there I don't think I can talk about it" I didn't think it would be right to tell Blaise

"okay cool"

when we got to Gryffindor common room the Gryffindors said we could stay the night if we wanted

The next morning Hermione's POV

I woke up to a certain redhead hitting me with a book

Draco and Blaise had turned up in the common room late last night

I, Ron, and Harry had invited them to stay in harry and Ron's room since Seamus and Dean weren't in school, they hadn't come back for their 7th year because they were gonna work muggle jobs instead of magical jobs

and Neville was in his grandmothers for the weekend, so they had three extra beds

"Ginny can you not hit me with a book please"

"NO, you let your boyfriend stay here last night"

I sighed, I thought something was wrong "yes, and your boyfriend... what's your problem with him?" this was really getting out of hand, these girls and their hate towards Draco

"yes, my boyfriend too, my problem is that I can't forgive as easily as you can"

"for merlin's sake Ginny the past is the past just forget it," I told her while getting up to change I decided I would wear the outfit lavender gave me with the necklace Draco gave me today

"fine, fine I'll try, anyway they want you downstairs well.. d-Draco does, wow that was hard to say"

"ok I'll be down now"

she left as I finished getting ready and walked downstairs "looking good 'mione" Harry praised

"thanks harry" I smiled and kissed Draco

"hello"

"hello" he replied, "I have to go to Malfoy manor today" well that was blunt

"oh, why?" This year has been eventful enough what now

"nothing serious just family matters, I have to go on my own though, I'm sorry"

I smiled trying to act like I wasn't surprised or curious "no worries I'll just hang with the girls today"

"ok great I'll see you when I get back"

and with that, he left, and I walked over to the girls "what's up with him?" pansy asked

"he's gotta go to Malfoy manor apparently"

"why?" lavender questioned

"dunno" I shrugged my shoulders and started the gossip with the girls hoping that he was gonna be ok, I know he and his father aren't on the best of terms

so I hoped it was nothing bad...
