Chapter 8: Mummy Business

Y/N's pov

I saw everyone running around the castle and I don't know why? I saw My uncles place their suitcase by the door and I decided to ask " uncle Mario Luigi what's-a- going on?" They looked at me and smiled.

"Well, Y/N the princess has some business to attend to in Desert Land for a couple of days. As the princess's bodyguards and friend, it's our job to make sure she gets there safely." As uncle Mario explained to me. "Oh, I um would -a- miss you." I give them my sad eyes.

"Oh Y/N what's with the sad eyes. Didn't you know you are coming with us?" Said Uncle Mario and I was surprised by this information. I'm going on an adventure with them. I jumped with joy but wait a minute what do I take? As if uncle Luigi read my mind he answered my question.

"Don't worry, Mario and I have already packed your suitcase for the trip. And since it's Desert Land, (place a hat on my head) There you go. That way you don't get a sunburn." I was happy to go somewhere for a change.

Third pov

The group finally left to a warp pipe that would take them close to the Desert Land. It was hot and sandy, so everyone had put some sunscreen on to avoid getting sunburn. Once they arrive at the small village the brothers settled in, while the princess and Toad attend their business. The Mario brothers show Y/N around the village and she saw amazing things. She saw a flying carpet and asked her uncles If she can ride one but the brothers had some bad experience with flying carpets before so they're not sure if they want Y/N riding a sketching-looking carpet...

Couple days later

Princess, Toad, Luigi, and Y/N were relaxing in their seat with cool drinks while Mario just woke up from his nap. "Sure is nice to relax after a rough adventure." Said the princess as she looked at Mario. "Yeah, I'm so tired Nothing can drag me out of this bed." Mario reply as he snuggled deep in his bed.

"HELP THERE IS A MAD MUMMY LOOSE IN DESERT LAND!"

"We gotta put that mummy back where it belongs before they scare the pasta out of everybody. "

As the gang rushes out to see a mad mummy wreaking chaos in the village. "I wonder why the mummy is so upset?" The princess wonder as she and the others duck to avoid getting hit by a block as it passed over their heads. Y/N noticed the Koopa kids running and pulled the princess's dress to grab her attention. The princess looks over her shoulder and notices the koopalings taking a gold mummy case. "I bet it has something to do with that golden mummy case though bratty Koopa kids are holding. Mario Y/n, keep the mummy away from hurting anyone until we get back."

"No problem princess, come on Y/N." Said Mario to y/n as they both rush towards the mummy.

Y/n pov

"Now Y/N, not everything Luigi and I do is to go head-on and fight others. We communicate with other first, and if they're not interested in talking then we take action, understand?"

"Yes, uncle," I responded to uncle Mario as we approach the mummy at a safe distance. My uncle shouts out "Excuse me! Ms.mummy may we have a word with you?" That caught the mummy's attention.

"My little prince at last I found you!"

"Her little prince?!" I and uncle said at the same time. And ask my uncle what was she talking about. But sadly my uncle didn't have the answer. So, I hid behind my uncle's back.

"Come give mummy a hug!" The mummy shouted and came running toward us. I was scared and I looked at uncle to see was the next plan. "eyuck, a hug from her could bad for our health, we better scram." You didn't have to tell me twice as my uncle and I ran away. "Now, Y/N watch and learn how to leap like your uncle." As my uncle jumped on blocks, rubble, and I too jumped right behind him. He took a big leap towards the ground but was caught by the mummy.
