“Holy shit! Finally!” I laughed and they jumped apart their faces flushed and lips swollen.

“Uh, hey Nora.” Grace greeted not meeting my gaze. “Hey Harry.”

Harry laughed, “Hey Gracie.” Causing her to roll her eyes and finally meet my gaze.

“Don’t you dare tell Asher.” She scolded.

I rolled my eyes, it wasn’t like he wasn’t busy enough that if we did talk it would be about her anyway. “Sure, sure.” I nodded, “I came to tell you Harry and I are going to eat. Want to come?”

“Sure I’m starving.” She laughed, “you want to come?” She asked Logan.

Logan smiled down at her, taking her hand and said, “You can’t get rid of me from now on, especially if there is food involved.” he added as they followed behind us.

Harry left the next day but continues to text me non stop two days later. “Stop texting and come eat.” My dad called from the kitchen. I sighed heaving my way off the couch and stumbled my way into the kitchen while still trying to finish my text. “Don’t make me take that phone away from you young lady.”

“Come on, Honey.” My mom smiled taking her seat at the end of the table across from my dad while Danny and Hunter sat on one sat and I on the other. It was just like before. She still didn’t remember but she was getting better as she hung around us more and more.

“Yeah dad.” I laughed as I got another incoming text from Harry.

My dad sighed, “No phones at the table.” He scolded.

“Who are you texting anyway?” Hunter asked eyeing me carefully as he sip his water.

I looked up, shrugging as I put my phone in my pocket. “It’s just Harry.” I sip my water watching as Hunter almost spit out his water in his mouth.

“Harry? Harry’s the guy you’ve been texting for two days straight?” He fumed, “Does Asher know?”

“No, but why should he? Harry and I are just friends plus it’s not like Asher and I talk any more. Hell this is the first time I’ve talked to you in like two weeks.” I all but yelled across the table.

“Nora. Hunter.” My dad interrupted, “Enough, now eat.”

The rest of dinner was awkward because no one said anything and the fact that Hunter and I were have a stare down wasn’t helping things at all.  After dinner I went upstair to my room and slammed the door. Jeez my brother’s an ass! Of course I didn’t tell Asher there was nothing to tell, in all honesty all we talked about was our families and the occasional joke he’d throw in every once in awhile. It really wasn’t that big of a deal, we’re friends, so what. I sighed falling on my bed when my phone rang. Ugh I’m tired can’t people leave me alone?

“Hello?” I sighed again without looking at the caller Id.

“What did you do?” Grace hissed through the phone.

I sat up straight all tiredness gone, something was wrong. “What are talking about? What’s wrong?”

Grace sighed, “Seriously?!” She screamed, “Asher’s on his way over, just be there alright.”

“Gracie? What did I...”

“Why didn’t you just tell him?” She cut me off, “He could have handled it but cheating? Really Nora? I didn’t think you could have went this low.” She told me her voice sounding hurt and disappointed.

“Shit Grace I didn’t cheat. Where the hell did you get that idea?”

“Really?” She asked sarcastically, “Who have you been texting for the last two days? You didn’t want to hang out with me yesterday because you were sick. Were you even sick? Or was that an excuse to just text Harry guilt free?”

“I was really sick, God Harry and I are just friends!” I told her falling back on my bed, “I wouldn’t cheat on Asher, you know me Grace, you know I love him and I’ve finally got him as my boyfriend. I’m not going to mess that up just for some guy.”

There was silence on her end before she sniffled, “I know, I know. God I’m stupid. I'ma horrible best friend.”

“No your not. I still love you.”

“But you shouldn’t, I can’t believe I thought that low of you. Jeez I’m sorry Nora.”

I shrugged, “It’s whatever, you’re still my bestfriend.” I told her as my door flew open and then slammed behind the person. I instantly knew who it was by his smell. “I have to-. Hey!” I shouted as the phone was taken from my hands.

“She’ll call you back.” Asher growled hanging up the phone and then tossing the phone back to me. “We need to talk.”

I nodded and rolled my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest as I waited, “Yeah we do. Look, I don’t know what you heard but it’s not-.”

“Not, what huh? Not true? Not what it looks like?” I nodded and he shook his head, “How could you do this?”

“Asher seriously listen to me. Harry and I-.” I tried but once again I was cut off.

“I don’t want to know about you and fucking Harry! Damn it Nora can’t you see that I love you?” He shouted his face turning red in anger.

“You l-love me?” I stuttered as I froze my anger slightly dimming.

“I did.” he nodded glaring at me, “But I can’t because this clearly isn’t working.”

I shook my head snapping out of it, I was losing him and there was nothing I could do about it. He already made up his mind but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t fight. “Asher please don’t do this. Listen to me...” I pleaded as the tears began. “I didn’t do anything. Harry and I are just friends, seriously I don’t like him like that. I like you, no,” I shook my head brushing the hair out of my eyes so they connected with Asher’s, “I love you.”

Asher looked away and shook his head and sniffled quickly, “It’s too late.”

“No please. It doesn’t mean anything to me, please. I’ll...I’ll...” I searched for something, anything, “I’ll delete his number, I won’t talk to him again just don't. Don’t do this.”

“It’s too late, the damage is done. It’s over.” And with that he walked out of my room without so much as a glance back at me.

So I did something any girl would do with a broken heart. I called my best friend.
