Brother Joins The Quest

"hi little brother" the figure says

"Itachi?!" I yell

I stare at him I havent seen him in years since that night wait please dont tell me

"I know what you are thinking and no im not dead Kakashi told me the quest and I followed you and grabbed the dog last minute when you guys went down here and after you jumped I jumped too landing a couple feet away" he explains

"Kakashi? What do you mean you where banned from Konaha I thought" I say confused

He sighs "lets talk somewhere else somewhere there is a regenerating monster" Itachi says gesturing to the dust forming together

I sigh and nod

"I recognize this place there is place nearby we can rest after we get the liquid fire" Nico says breaking the awkwardness and grabs my hand reassuringly

I glance at Itachi nervously wondering if he knew and I see him smirk at us and says nothing

Nico leads us to the river fire and each of us get our canteens out to fill up and Itachi just uses his hand to drink from it not wanting to ask us

I feel so confused and I see Itachi keeping his distance not wanting to bother me

"Hey you okay" Nico asks and I look over and he is staring at me worried like

I remember Nico saying he lost his older sister and I realize he is talking from expierenced

I smile at him and give him a soft kiss and he blushes which makes me remember something else
