You feel a tap on your shoulder when you were rummaging through your locker, so you turn your head to see who it was.

"Hey, y/n/n."

Your best friend, Sawyer was standing there. His smile was contagious and you can't help but return the smile.

"Hey, Sawyer. What's up?"

He cleared his throat, "...Can we talk for a second?"

"Oh, sure, hold on," you closed your locker before completely facing him. "What's up?"

"I really like you, Y/n," he confessed at the spot. "I'm asking you to be my girlfriend." 

You froze after hearing those words out of Sawyer's mouth.

"Y/n? Hello?"

You stared at him and starts laughing, "Funny joke... This is one of your pranks, isn't it?"

"No, Y/n," he shook his head. "I'm being serious."

"I... I don't know, Sawyer. This is all is just so sudden..."

Sawyer took your hand and grinned, "I know this might be shocking... I'll leave you for now. Tell me your answer later, yeah?"

Sawyer then dropped your hand and left you standing in the middle of the hallway, dumbfounded.
